USE – The Ultimate World of Cutting and Welding will introduce a new trade fair experience when it takes place from April 20 to 23, 2027, at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre. The event will focus on business meetings, practical demonstrations, knowledge sharing and professional development.

The trade fair is being designed around the changing needs of companies and visitors. Instead of focusing only on exhibition stands and product displays, USE will create dedicated areas where visitors can test technologies, meet industry experts, exchange ideas and develop business contacts. The event will feature several themed areas, each designed to encourage direct interaction between exhibitors and trade visitors.

The DIY (Do It Yourself) zone will give visitors the opportunity to experience modern welding technologies themselves. Participants can try different welding processes, compare products from various manufacturers and discuss their requirements directly with technical experts. Exhibitors will demonstrate their technologies in an environment where visitors can see and evaluate their performance.

The Expo Mainstage will serve as the central knowledge and networking platform at USE. Its programme will include keynote presentations, practical masterclasses and discussions on current industry developments. In the evening, the stage will become a meeting point for informal networking, live music and personal interaction.

Another key feature will be the USE Academy, which will focus on training, careers and recruitment. The area will connect companies with skilled workers and provide information on professional development. Young professionals, experienced workers and people considering a career change will be able to explore training and employment opportunities.

The Makers Space will provide a platform for creativity and practical work. Content creators will develop projects live at the event, showing how modern welding equipment and traditional craftsmanship can be combined. Visitors will be able to watch the work closely and interact with the creators.

Daniel Ryfisch, Director of USE, wire & Tube and Flow Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf, said the new zones are designed to bring exhibitors and visitors closer together. He said the aim is to create more opportunities for direct discussions, knowledge sharing and practical demonstrations that can lead to concrete business projects.

USE will bring together international exhibitors and trade visitors from the cutting and welding sector. Its format is intended to create more opportunities for face-to-face meetings while helping visitors gain practical knowledge about new technologies. With its combination of exhibition space, hands-on demonstrations, professional development and networking, USE 2027 aims to offer a new platform for the international cutting and welding industry.
