Shri Radha Krishna Gases and Gas Plant Leasing Company has commissioned its 35th onsite nitrogen gas plant, this time at a manufacturing facility in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra. The unit, rated at 20 Nm³/hr with 99.999% purity, was installed and commissioned on the customer’s premises, extending a leasing model the company has spent nearly two decades building across Indian manufacturing. “Our Nitrogen Plant – 20 Nm³/hr, 99.999% purity – was successfully installed today in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Thank you for your constant wishes, blessings and support. A proud milestone and another blessed achievement,” said Sunil Ved, Founder & Managing Partner.

The company traces its roots to Shri Radha Krishna Gases, established in 1973 as part of the Ved Group of Firms & Industries — a five-decade-old Aurangabad trading house that originally dealt in coal before diversifying into industrial gases. Sunil Jayraj Ved, the scion of the family business, launched the onsite nitrogen plant leasing vertical in 2006 after running into the operational friction familiar to most cylinder-based gas suppliers: unpredictable transport, difficult cylinder tracking and unloading, and the high landed cost of the commodity itself. His response was to flip the delivery model — instead of trucking gas to the customer, build the plant inside the customer’s factory and lease it to them.
That model now underpins the company’s growth. Skid-mounted PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption) nitrogen plants are engineered around a client’s required flow rate, purity and pressure, then installed on-site — typically within 30 days — and left to run fully automatically, with online monitoring and interlocks that flag abnormalities without needing a dedicated operator. For customers, the pitch is straightforward: no upfront capital investment, no spares or maintenance overhead, and an uninterrupted 24×7 nitrogen supply plugged directly into their production line. “We are a pioneer in onsite nitrogen gas plants given on lease or rent. Our customers get the benefit of a fully automated plant with zero investment, no spares, no maintenance cost or operational cost,” Ved has said of the model.
The company counted roughly 30 installations across seven states as of 2022; the 35th plant reflects continued expansion into sectors ranging from metal fabrication, pharmaceuticals and electronics to aviation, tyre manufacturing and petrochemicals. It also played a visible role during the Covid-19 pandemic, supplying oxygen cylinders when demand spiked nationally.
Beyond the operational case, the onsite leasing model carries a sustainability argument that’s gaining traction across Indian manufacturing: eliminating cylinder and tanker transport cuts fuel consumption, reduces on-site storage footprint, and lowers handling losses — meaningful savings for industries that consume industrial gases continuously. Sunil Ved has previously been recognised by Machine Maker as a “Change Maker of Indian Manufacturing” for this shift from traditional gas trading to a manufacturing-driven, decentralised supply model. With its 35th plant now live, the company continues to position onsite generation as the more efficient, lower-carbon way Indian industry sources its nitrogen.
