German foundry and metals technology companies will come together for the first German Pavilion at FUNDIEXPO 2026, to be held from October 28 to 30 at Cintermex in Monterrey, Mexico. The pavilion will bring a wide range of German technologies to one of Latin America’s important industrial markets. FUNDIEXPO covers major areas of the foundry and metals value chain, including foundry technology, die casting, metallurgical processes, machining of castings, heat treatment and industrial furnace technology.

Participating companies in the German Pavilion include AIC Regloplas, August Mössner, Bürkert, Chemex Foundry Solutions, GMTA Mexico, Heinz Berger Maschinenfabrik, Hüttenes-Albertus Chemische Werke, INDUGA Industrieöfen und Giesserei-Anlagen, Nabertherm, Otto Junker, promeos and Rösler Oberflächentechnik, along with Rudolf Uhlen.

The joint pavilion will give Mexican and international visitors direct access to German suppliers and their technologies. Visitors will be able to discuss specific production and investment requirements with participating companies and compare solutions in an international exhibition environment.

The German Pavilion is part of the Foreign Trade Fair Programme of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) and is supported by VDMA Metallurgy & Thermoprocessing. Under the “Made in Germany” umbrella, the initiative is intended to help German companies develop business opportunities in Mexico and other Latin American markets.

FUNDIEXPO has established itself as an international meeting point for the foundry and metals industry in Latin America. At the 2024 edition, more than 4,700 trade visitors and 339 exhibitors from 33 countries participated. Of the exhibitors, 205 came from outside Mexico, while five international pavilions were represented. Around 88% of exhibitors and 85% of visitors surveyed said they were very satisfied with the event. The 2026 edition in Monterrey will bring the industry together in one of Mexico’s major manufacturing centres. The city’s strong industrial base and proximity to the US market make it an important location for international suppliers and manufacturers.

Key issues shaping the programme include automation, additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, sustainability, resource and energy efficiency, nearshoring and new production technologies. Supply-chain resilience and the competitiveness of manufacturing operations will also be important topics.

Alongside the exhibition, FUNDIEXPO will host the International Foundry Industry Congress, featuring keynote speeches, workshops and technical presentations. Industrial tours and networking events will provide additional opportunities for business discussions and knowledge exchange.

The international industry dialogue will continue in Düsseldorf in 2027 with “The Bright World of Metals”, comprising GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST. The four trade fairs will take place from June 21 to 25, 2027, bringing together companies and professionals from foundry technology, metallurgy, thermoprocessing and cast products. The German Pavilion at FUNDIEXPO 2026 will provide a platform for German technology companies to strengthen their presence in Mexico while creating new opportunities for cooperation across the international metals industry.
