Siemens Energy has announced plans to adopt Omterra as its new corporate brand, marking a significant milestone in its evolution as an independent energy technology company. The new identity will bring together Siemens Energy and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy under a single global brand, reinforcing the company’s unified vision for the future of energy.

The transition to the Omterra brand is expected to commence later this year and will be implemented in phases across the company’s global operations. During this period, customers, business partners and employees can expect continuity in the company’s strategy, operations and service commitments, with the rebranding focused solely on corporate identity.

The move follows Siemens Energy’s separation from Siemens AG in 2020. Since becoming an independent company, Siemens Energy has operated under a time-limited licensing agreement permitting the use of the Siemens Energy name. As the agreement approaches its conclusion, the company has chosen to establish a distinct identity that reflects its long-term ambitions and independent market position.

Commenting on the announcement, Christian Bruch, Chief Executive Officer of Siemens Energy, said the company has reached a stage where it is ready to stand on its own brand. He noted that since the spin-off, Siemens Energy has strengthened its strategic direction, improved operational performance, enhanced profitability and earned the confidence of customers and investors worldwide. With a strong foundation for future growth, he said the transition to Omterra represents a natural next step in the company’s journey.

Bruch also acknowledged the role that the Siemens name has played in supporting the company’s transformation over the past several years, describing it as an important legacy that continues to inspire the organisation’s commitment to shaping the future of sustainable energy.

According to the company, the Omterra brand has been designed to represent its international presence, engineering excellence and commitment to delivering reliable, innovative and sustainable energy solutions across global markets. By bringing its businesses under one unified identity, the company aims to strengthen brand recognition while reflecting its expanding role in supporting the global energy transition.

Despite the upcoming name change, Siemens Energy emphasised that its strategic priorities, customer relationships and business operations will remain unchanged throughout the transition. The phased rollout is intended to ensure a seamless experience for stakeholders while positioning Omterra as the company’s new global identity for the years ahead.
