Suzlon has secured 1.1 GW of new wind energy orders in FY27, strengthening its order momentum and expanding its presence in key renewable energy markets across India. As part of the new order intake, Torrent Green Energy, a Torrent Group company, has placed an order for 250 MW. The order marks the sixth project awarded by Torrent Green Energy to Suzlon and takes their cumulative partnership to more than 1.3 GW.

The latest project will be located in Madhya Pradesh, further strengthening Suzlon’s presence in the state. The company will supply 76 S144 wind turbine generators, each with a capacity of 3.3 MW. The scope of the order includes the supply of the wind turbines, grid integration and long-term Operations and Maintenance services under Suzlon’s Asset Management Services offering.

Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman, Suzlon Group, said the latest order reflects the strength of the company’s long-standing relationship with Torrent Green Energy. “For us, the true measure of success is not a single order, but partnerships that endure and grow over time. Torrent Green Energy has been one of our valued partners for more than a decade, and this relationship has developed into one of Suzlon’s largest customer partnerships,” he said.

Ajay Kapur, Chief Executive Officer, Suzlon Group, said continued customer confidence has supported the company’s strong order momentum in FY27. “Customer confidence continues to be our biggest strength, reflected in the 1.1 GW of new orders we have secured in FY27. This order further strengthens our presence in Madhya Pradesh, which is emerging as an important growth market for wind energy in India,” he said.

The project will contribute to the expansion of renewable energy capacity in Madhya Pradesh and support India’s transition towards cleaner sources of electricity. The latest Torrent Green Energy order also adds to Suzlon’s growing portfolio of projects across Gujarat, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. The company has worked with Torrent Green Energy for more than a decade, building a partnership covering multiple wind projects.
