Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale, one of India’s most iconic names in traditional sweets and savouries, has announced the launch of its state-of-the-art production facility and customer experience centre, ‘Ranje Vision Park’, located in Ranje village in Bhor Taluka near Pune. The facility will be formally inaugurated on April 16 by Devendra Fadnavis.

The announcement was made at a press conference in Pune by Indraneel Chitale and Kedar Chitale, partners in the company and representatives of the fourth generation of the Chitale family. The new facility marks a significant step in the company’s expansion journey, strengthening its manufacturing capabilities while enhancing customer engagement.

Spread across 25 acres, Ranje Vision Park has been designed as a world-class manufacturing hub aligned with global standards in the packaged food industry. The facility currently houses two independent production units dedicated to sweets (mithai) and savouries (namkeen), with a combined installed capacity of 40 tonnes per day. The company has invested approximately ₹250 crore in the development of the project.

Indraneel Chitale highlighted that the facility has been developed to support both domestic growth and international expansion. He noted that the plant adheres to stringent global food safety benchmarks, including FSSC 22000 certification, compliance with US Food and Drug Administration standards, and accreditation from the British Retail Consortium (BRC). These certifications reinforce the company’s commitment to quality, safety, and consistency across its product range.

A unique feature of Ranje Vision Park is its focus on customer experience. Designed as an open and interactive space, the facility allows visitors to witness the production process through specially designed viewing galleries. This initiative aims to provide transparency and build deeper trust with consumers by showcasing the hygiene standards and automation processes followed in manufacturing.

Kedar Chitale emphasized that the park goes beyond production, offering an immersive brand experience. Plans are underway to introduce a product testing area and a café, further enhancing visitor engagement. A 100-metre-long wall chronicling the journey of Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale has also been created, offering insights into the company’s rich heritage and evolution over the decades.

The company plans to enable customer visits through an online registration system, allowing consumers to explore the facility firsthand. This initiative is expected to strengthen the emotional connect the brand shares with its customers while reinforcing its reputation for quality and authenticity.

Looking ahead, Chitale Bandhu Mithaiwale is focused on expanding its footprint across India and international markets. With a portfolio of over 450 products, the company aims to grow through multiple channels, including physical retail, quick service restaurants, and casual dining formats. Currently, its products are available at approximately 1.25 lakh touchpoints across 10 major states, with plans to scale this to 5 lakh touchpoints over the next three years.

Exports currently contribute around 8 percent of the company’s revenue, with a target to increase this share to 20 percent in the same period. The launch of Ranje Vision Park is expected to play a pivotal role in achieving these growth ambitions.
