L&T Wins Major Contract in TenneT’s Offshore Wind Power Initiative

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has reached a significant milestone in its offshore wind journey by earning a pivotal role in TenneT’s High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) offshore wind program. The initiative, led by the Dutch-German transmission operator TenneT, represents a crucial step in advancing Europe’s renewable energy infrastructure.

Partnering with Hitachi Energy, a global leader in electrification technology, L&T will be responsible for delivering advanced HVDC converter stations designed to connect large-scale offshore wind power to the European grid—particularly across the German and Dutch regions of the North Sea. This collaboration combines L&T’s extensive engineering and project management expertise with Hitachi Energy’s cutting-edge technology, enabling efficient and sustainable execution of complex offshore projects. The agreement further strengthens L&T’s international presence in the renewable sector and highlights its contribution to the global shift toward clean energy.
