CrashPlan, a global leader in cyber-ready data resilience and governance, has announced a significant expansion of its international operations with a strengthened presence in India and the UAE. The company has enhanced its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Bengaluru to accelerate product innovation and global service delivery, reinforcing its role as a key innovation hub for customers across the world.
The announcement coincides with CEO Dan Beer’s first visit to Bengaluru since taking office in April 2025. During his visit, Beer met with leading enterprise clients including Fractal Analytics and Godrej Industries Group, and strategic partner Etisalat in Dubai. These meetings underscored CrashPlan’s focus on deepening customer relationships, enhancing regional alliances, and advancing its long-term growth strategy across India and the wider Gulf region.
“India represents far more than a market—it’s a powerhouse of innovation for us,” said Dan Beer, CEO of CrashPlan. “Our Bengaluru center is the cornerstone of our global innovation strategy, connecting engineering, AI, and product teams to deliver advanced, customer-centric solutions. The talent and technical depth in India give us a clear competitive edge as we expand into new workloads, platforms, and AI-driven services.”
Following the acquisition of Indian technology firm Parablu last year, CrashPlan has doubled its workforce in India, laying a strong foundation for its expanded GCC. The center will focus on key strategic priorities, including scaling engineering and support teams to accelerate product development, introducing AI-powered capabilities to enhance data recovery and compliance with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), and maintaining double-digit revenue growth to fund continued product innovation. Additionally, the company plans to strengthen its local talent pipeline through university partnerships and competitive hiring across engineering, cybersecurity, and data analytics.
The Bengaluru GCC now serves as a major operational base supporting some of CrashPlan’s most valuable global customers. Fractal Analytics, a leading AI and analytics firm, has expanded its CrashPlan deployment thirtyfold since 2018, while Godrej Industries Group secures thousands of endpoints across its various businesses through CrashPlan’s platform. These long-standing relationships highlight the company’s role as a trusted data-resilience partner to India’s top enterprises.
CrashPlan’s ongoing expansion across India, the UAE, and the broader Asia-Pacific region represents a key milestone in its global growth journey. With Bengaluru emerging as a cornerstone of its innovation ecosystem and Dubai serving as a growing commercial hub, the company is strengthening engagement with enterprise and channel partners to meet increasing demand for secure, compliant, and AI-enabled data protection solutions across the Middle East and APAC markets.
CrashPlan delivers comprehensive cyber resilience and data protection through an integrated platform trusted by organizations worldwide.
