Jungheinrich and Movu Robotics have entered into a strategic partnership to accelerate the delivery of highly automated pallet warehouse solutions. Under the agreement, Jungheinrich will become the preferred integrator for Movu’s shuttle systems, while Movu will serve as Jungheinrich’s preferred supplier for shuttle technology.
The partnership responds to growing demand for automated warehouses driven by rising real estate costs, limited storage space and the need for greater storage density. Movu’s four-way shuttle systems, including the Movu Atlas, can store and retrieve pallets across multiple levels and positions, allowing companies to make better use of available warehouse space.
The two companies plan to integrate Movu’s shuttle technology directly into Jungheinrich’s warehouse management system and software environment. This will allow inventory management, storage and retrieval activities to be coordinated through a single software platform.
Standardised software interfaces are expected to simplify system integration and reduce commissioning time. Joint solution development will also support faster project planning and quotation, while coordinated service processes are designed to provide customers with consistent support throughout the operating life of their warehouse systems.
The partnership will enable connected material flows from goods receiving through automated storage and dispatch. Shuttle systems, conveyor technology and mobile robots can be coordinated through the Jungheinrich software environment, providing greater visibility across warehouse operations and creating a scalable platform for future expansion. Movu’s shuttle systems are already deployed in more than 200 warehouses and are being used in several Jungheinrich customer projects across Europe and North America.
At Coppenrath & Wiese, an automated warehouse for packaging materials is being developed to consolidate previously decentralised storage into a central facility. At Mascot online in Almere, Netherlands, an automated pallet warehouse with around 11,500 pallet locations is under construction. The facility will use 10 Movu four-way shuttles to provide high-density storage and rapid product handling.
“Four-way shuttle systems increasingly combine high-density storage with functions such as replenishment and sequencing within the same footprint,” said Noë van Bergen, CSO of Movu Robotics. “By combining Movu’s shuttle technology and racking expertise with Jungheinrich’s integration, software and service capabilities, we can make automated warehousing easier to implement and more scalable.” The partnership strengthens Jungheinrich’s position as a global warehouse automation system integrator, offering solutions ranging from manual operations to fully automated facilities.
Headquartered in Belgium, Movu Robotics is part of stow Group and develops warehouse automation technologies. Movu has around 450 employees and recorded revenue of €193 million in 2025. The wider stow Group employs more than 2,000 people globally and generated revenue of more than €900 million in 2025.
