Jungheinrich AG has strengthened its partnership with Chinese industrial truck manufacturer EP Equipment by acquiring a 4.9% equity stake in the company. The investment marks another milestone in Jungheinrich’s long-term growth strategy and supports the company’s Strategy 2030+ roadmap aimed at expanding its global presence and strengthening innovation in the material handling industry.
The minority investment has been structured as a long-term strategic partnership and builds on the cooperation agreement signed between the two companies in May 2025. Since then, Jungheinrich and EP Equipment have been working together to develop efficient, sustainable and customer-focused material handling solutions for global markets. The latest investment further reinforces the relationship between the two companies and creates opportunities for deeper collaboration across product development, technology, innovation and market expansion.
Commenting on the development, Dr Lars Brzoska, Chief Executive Officer of Jungheinrich AG, said, “EP Equipment has established itself as one of the fastest-growing and most successful companies in the material handling industry. This investment reflects our confidence in the company’s capabilities and strengthens the foundation for a long-term strategic partnership. Together, we aim to combine our strengths, accelerate innovation and create greater value for customers around the world.”
John He, Chief Executive Officer of EP Equipment, said, “Jungheinrich’s investment reflects the strong relationship and mutual trust between our companies. It creates new opportunities for collaboration and provides a solid platform to expand our partnership as we continue to develop innovative material handling solutions for global customers.”
The partnership is based on the shared vision of both companies to shape the future of material handling through advanced technologies, sustainable products and efficient logistics solutions. By combining their experience in electrification, engineering and product innovation, Jungheinrich and EP Equipment are working to improve productivity while supporting customers in meeting changing operational requirements.
The companies plan to increase cooperation in several key areas, including product portfolio development, technology exchange and market expansion. Through the sharing of expertise and technical knowledge, both organisations expect to strengthen their competitive position and respond more effectively to evolving customer needs across international markets.
The investment also supports Jungheinrich’s expansion into the growing mid-technology segment. In 2025, the company introduced AntOn by Jungheinrich, a dedicated brand offering reliable, standardised and cost-effective industrial trucks for customers seeking efficient material handling solutions. A significant portion of the AntOn product range is manufactured by EP Equipment, making the partnership an important part of Jungheinrich’s long-term product strategy.
As demand for electric and sustainable material handling equipment continues to grow worldwide, the strengthened partnership is expected to create new opportunities for innovation and business growth. By combining global expertise, manufacturing strength and complementary product portfolios, Jungheinrich and EP Equipment are well positioned to deliver advanced solutions that improve efficiency, productivity and sustainability across the material handling industry while supporting customers in markets around the world.
