Godrej Enterprises Group (GEG) has secured a major contract to provide integrated security solutions for the upcoming Bhogapuram International Airport in Andhra Pradesh. The Security Solutions business of the company has received mandates from GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited (GVIAL) and Larsen & Toubro (L&T), strengthening its role in protecting India’s growing aviation infrastructure.
Valued at around ₹6 crore, the project involves the deployment of a wide range of advanced security systems to improve perimeter protection, vehicle screening, access control and threat detection across the airport. The project highlights Godrej’s expertise in delivering security solutions for large infrastructure developments and reinforces its position as a trusted partner in the country’s aviation sector.
The contract reflects the confidence placed in Godrej by both the airport developer and the engineering contractor. The company worked closely with stakeholders throughout the project, including airport authorities, consultants, security agencies, project management teams and engineering partners, to deliver a comprehensive security plan that meets the requirements of a modern international airport.
As part of the project, Godrej will install a complete portfolio of security technologies, including blocking bollards, boom barriers, under vehicle scanning systems (UVSS), turnstiles, swing lane barriers, explosive vapour detectors, liquid explosive detectors, non-linear junction detectors, bomb disposal suits and real-time viewing systems. These systems are designed to strengthen airport security while supporting efficient movement of passengers, vehicles and authorised personnel.
