Bartronics India Limited has entered into a long-term Service Level Agreement (SLA) with Maharashtra Gramin Bank to expand and strengthen the Bank’s banking correspondent and customer outreach network across its service areas in Maharashtra. The agreement extends a seven-year working relationship between the two organizations and reflects Maharashtra Gramin Bank’s continued reliance on Bartronics for field operations and network execution.
Bartronics has supported the Bank’s rural outreach by enabling account opening, transaction services, and access to government and social security schemes through its correspondent network. At present, Bartronics operates around 350 banking touchpoints for Maharashtra Gramin Bank, serving rural and semi-urban customers through technology-backed service models. The new SLA provides a framework for expanding this network in a phased manner.
Under the agreement, the correspondent network is expected to grow from approximately 350 to nearly 600 touchpoints. The expansion includes the addition of about 250 new Customer Service Points (CSPs) and is aimed at improving last-mile banking access across rural Maharashtra.
The engagement is projected to generate revenues of about ₹30 crore over five years, subject to transaction volumes and customer usage. The expansion is also expected to create local employment through the onboarding of CSP operators, supervisors, and field staff, supporting livelihood opportunities and entrepreneurship in the Bank’s operating regions.
Bartronics will continue to support Maharashtra Gramin Bank’s financial inclusion efforts by enabling services such as account opening, cash deposits and withdrawals, fund transfers, remittances, Aadhaar-enabled payment services (AePS), enrollment in government welfare schemes, and financial literacy initiatives.
N Vidhya Sagar Reddy, Managing Director of Bartronics India Limited, said the agreement reinforces the long-standing relationship between the two institutions and focuses on expanding secure and accessible banking services in rural areas while generating local employment. Bartronics operates a Corporate Business Correspondent network across public sector and regional rural banks and focuses on expanding access to digital and assisted banking services in underserved regions.
