Hical Technologies, a Bengaluru-based manufacturer of precision electromechanical systems for the aerospace and defence sectors, hosted Tobias Gotthardt, Vice Minister at the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, at its Electronic City manufacturing facility. The visit underscored the growing cooperation between India and Germany in aerospace, defence and advanced manufacturing.

During the visit, the Vice Minister toured Hical’s manufacturing units, design centre and research and development facilities, where he gained first-hand insight into the company’s engineering capabilities, production processes and quality standards. The discussions focused on manufacturing excellence, technology development, innovation and opportunities to deepen industrial collaboration between companies in India and Bavaria.

The visit comes at a time when India’s aerospace and defence industry is witnessing strong growth, supported by rising domestic manufacturing and expanding exports. With defence exports reaching a record ₹38,424 crore in FY2025-26, the sector continues to attract global attention for its manufacturing capabilities and skilled engineering talent.

The engagement also builds on Hical Technologies’ participation in the India-Germany Defence Industry Roundtable held in Munich in April 2026. Representing the company, Managing Director Yashas Jaiveer joined leading industry and government representatives from both countries to discuss opportunities for greater cooperation in defence manufacturing and supply chain development.

Speaking during the visit, Tobias Gotthardt said, “It is a privilege to visit Hical Technologies and witness its advanced manufacturing capabilities, engineering expertise and research facilities. Bavaria and India have built a strong partnership based on innovation, trust and collaboration. As aerospace, space and defence become increasingly important sectors, there is significant potential to strengthen industrial partnerships, build resilient supply chains and create new opportunities for businesses in both regions.”

Yashas Jaiveer, Managing Director of Hical Technologies, said the visit reflects the growing recognition of India’s role in the global aerospace manufacturing ecosystem. “It is an honour to welcome the Vice Minister to our facility. Earlier this year, we participated in the India-Germany Defence Industry Roundtable in Munich, where meaningful discussions were held on expanding cooperation between the two countries. Today’s visit brings those conversations directly to our manufacturing operations. We remain committed to delivering high-quality, precision-engineered products that meet global standards and strengthen the confidence of international aerospace and defence manufacturers in India’s capabilities,” he said.

Headquartered in Bengaluru, Hical Technologies manufactures high-precision electromechanical systems for leading global aerospace and defence companies. The company continues to invest in engineering excellence, advanced manufacturing and research, while supporting the growth of India’s aerospace industry and contributing to the country’s vision of building a globally competitive manufacturing ecosystem.
