Hical Technologies, a Bengaluru-based manufacturer of precision electromechanical systems for the aerospace and defence sectors, has commenced construction of a new 160,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The upcoming plant is designed to significantly enhance the company’s precision machining, fabrication and special process capabilities, enabling it to support growing demand from global aerospace and defence original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

The new facility represents a major expansion of Hical’s manufacturing footprint and reinforces the company’s long-term strategy of strengthening India’s role in the global aerospace supply chain. The investment is aimed at increasing production capacity for complex, high-precision components while complementing Hical’s existing electromechanical manufacturing operations.

The Hosur plant will function as a dedicated aerospace-qualified manufacturing centre equipped with advanced precision machining, fabrication and special process technologies. It will also feature investments in automation, digital manufacturing systems and flexible production capabilities to improve efficiency, quality and scalability. The facility is being developed to comply with stringent international aerospace quality standards, including planned NADCAP accreditation and other certifications required by leading global aerospace programmes.

With aerospace manufacturers worldwide diversifying their supply chains and increasing sourcing from India, Hical expects the new facility to position the company as a stronger manufacturing partner for complex engineering programmes requiring high levels of precision, consistency and reliability.

Commenting on the development, Yashas Jaiveer, Managing Director, Hical Technologies, said, “The groundbreaking of our Hosur facility marks an important milestone in Hical’s four-decade manufacturing journey. Global aerospace customers are increasingly recognising India’s capabilities in delivering complex, high-precision engineering solutions that meet international quality standards. This facility has been planned to support that growing opportunity by strengthening our manufacturing capabilities through advanced processes, automation and globally recognised aerospace qualifications. We believe it will further enhance our ability to serve international customers while contributing to India’s emergence as a preferred aerospace manufacturing destination.”

Hosur has rapidly evolved into one of southern India’s leading industrial and engineering hubs due to its strategic location near Bengaluru, established industrial infrastructure and access to a highly skilled technical workforce. Its proximity to India’s growing aerospace and defence ecosystem makes it an ideal location for expanding advanced manufacturing operations.

The new facility is expected to support production for a wide range of aerospace and defence programmes, helping customers source high-quality precision-engineered components from India while improving supply chain resilience. The plant will also strengthen Hical’s capability to undertake increasingly sophisticated manufacturing assignments as demand for aerospace components continues to rise globally.

Founded over four decades ago, Hical Technologies has built a strong reputation for manufacturing precision electromechanical systems and components used across global aerospace and defence platforms. The company serves international customers requiring stringent quality, engineering excellence and compliance with global aerospace standards.

The Hosur expansion reflects Hical’s continued investment in advanced manufacturing technologies and its commitment to supporting India’s vision of becoming a globally competitive hub for aerospace and defence production. Once operational, the new facility is expected to play a key role in expanding the company’s participation in international aerospace programmes while strengthening India’s advanced manufacturing capabilities.
