ZOLLER will present its latest automation, tool inspection and manufacturing-efficiency technologies at IMTS 2026 in Chicago, highlighting solutions designed to simplify toolroom operations and improve productivity across modern manufacturing environments. At Booth W-432018, ZOLLER will showcase its new »micBox« automated insert-handling system and »pomBasic MTI« micro-tool inspection system, along with technologies for tool presetting, measuring, heat shrinking, balancing, tool management, data transfer and automation. Under the theme “Smart. Manufacturing. Made Simple.”, the company will demonstrate how connected tool management systems can help manufacturers improve efficiency, reduce manual work and strengthen process control.

“For more than 80 years, ZOLLER has been a pioneer in developing technology to optimize processes around cutting tools,” said Alexander Zoller, President of ZOLLER Inc. “Today, we are proud to provide a complete roadmap to efficient manufacturing from CAM to finished part that can benefit manufacturers in every market segment.”

Making its world premiere at IMTS 2026, the »micBox« automates indexable insert handling on milling tools. The system can identify inserts, index and rotate them, replace worn inserts and manage fastening-screw changes. With the optional AI-supported »wearCheck«, the system evaluates cutting edges and determines whether an insert should remain in service, be indexed or replaced.

ZOLLER will also demonstrate its »roboBox« automated tool preparation system and »coraMeasure LG«, which combines robotic handling with the company’s »venturion« tool measuring system. The company will feature its »powerShrink« heat-shrinking technology, which can prepare tools in less than 60 seconds. Its induction system is designed to shorten cycle times, extend toolholder life and reduce energy consumption. The »toolBalancer« system will demonstrate precision balancing of toolholders, tool assemblies and grinding wheels.

ZOLLER will also provide live demonstrations of its Tool Management Solutions software and storage systems. Its experts will advise manufacturers on establishing connected toolroom operations and improving tool data management. The company will display its range of toolholders, including CAT, CATD, BT, BTD, HSK and PSC versions. The toolholders are fine-balanced for high-speed applications and can be equipped with RFID or ZOLLER »zidChip« technology for tool tracking.

ZOLLER will demonstrate its »z.DMI« direct machine interface and »zidCode 4.0« communication platform, enabling two-way tool data transfer between presetting equipment, CNC machines and databases. Interfaces are available for controls from Heidenhain, Siemens, FANUC, Matsuura and Makino.

Another IMTS 2026 world premiere will be the »pomBasic MTI«, a compact system for production-integrated micro-tool inspection. Its high-resolution camera and coaxial lighting enable detailed inspection at magnifications ranging from 125x to 1250x. ZOLLER will also recognize outstanding toolroom performance through its 2026 Toolroom of the Year competition. Winners will be announced on September 17 at the company’s IMTS booth.
