Valiant Communications Ltd has announced the successful completion of evaluation testing of its Hardware-Based Network Isolation (Kill) Switch equipment with the Indian Armed Forces. The system is designed to provide dedicated, hardware-enforced separation of networks in high-security environments where operational continuity and cyber resilience are essential.

The equipment is engineered to deliver deterministic network isolation at the physical layer, allowing designated links or network zones to be disconnected immediately during cyber incidents, insider threat situations, or physical security events. This approach adds an extra level of protection beyond conventional firewall and software-based controls, helping operators contain risks quickly while maintaining essential system functions. Detailed technical specifications and operating procedures remain confidential for security reasons.

Inder Mohan Sood, Chief Executive Officer of Valiant Communications, said the successful evaluation represents a significant step in enhancing resilience for sensitive operational systems. He noted that environments with critical infrastructure require predictable behaviour and dependable failover mechanisms, particularly where downtime or uncontrolled network access can have serious consequences. Hardware-enforced isolation, he said, can help contain threats in real time, even when software-based defences are compromised during sophisticated cyber intrusions.

Valiant’s “Beyond the Firewall” network isolation equipment is intended for deployment in defence installations, command centres, industrial plants, utilities, secure data centres and other facilities where network segmentation and rapid containment are vital. The architecture supports integration with existing cybersecurity frameworks such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems and security monitoring platforms. It also offers out-of-band activation options, including multiple user-trigger mechanisms and serial control interfaces tailored to operational needs.
