TVS Motor Company, part of the TVS VENU, has unveiled the RTX 300, its flagship adventure trail motorcycle developed for the European market. Built on the company’s new RT-XD4 engine platform, the motorcycle is designed to meet the requirements of adventure enthusiasts and A2 licence holders, bringing a comprehensive package of performance, technology and rider-focused features to the mid-capacity trail segment.
The RTX 300 combines rally-inspired styling with a tubular steel trellis chassis, long-travel suspension and an upright riding position to deliver confidence both on paved roads and challenging trails. The motorcycle features a 41 mm upside-down front fork, 180 mm of suspension travel at both ends and 200 mm of ground clearance. Its balanced weight distribution and ergonomic design are intended to provide comfort during extended road journeys while offering the control required for off-road riding.
Technology is a key element of the RTX 300 package. Depending on the variant, standard equipment includes cruise control, a bi-directional quickshifter and tyre pressure monitoring. An electronic throttle system works with advanced chassis controls to provide four selectable riding modes — Urban, Rain, Tour and Rally. Each mode adjusts power delivery, traction control and ABS characteristics according to riding conditions. Urban mode provides a smoother response for everyday city riding, while Rain mode increases rider assistance on wet or slippery surfaces. Tour mode delivers linear power for longer journeys and benefits from cruise control and quickshifter functionality. Rally mode provides a more responsive throttle character, reduced traction control intervention and the option to deactivate rear ABS for loose surfaces.
The motorcycle also features a high-brightness 5-inch TFT display with GPS map mirroring through the SmartXonnect application, along with music and call management depending on the version. The combination of connectivity, rider assistance and adjustable electronics is aimed at both younger A2 riders progressing to larger motorcycles and experienced riders returning to motorcycling.
