Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) has entered into a collaboration with AMD (NASDAQ: AMD) to help enterprises move artificial intelligence initiatives from pilot stages into large-scale deployment. The partnership will focus on modernising legacy systems, strengthening hybrid cloud and edge environments, and improving digital workplace performance.
Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly develop AI and generative AI solutions for specific industries by combining TCS’s domain knowledge, systems integration experience, and innovation network with AMD’s computing and AI hardware platforms.
The collaboration will support organisations in upgrading hybrid cloud and edge infrastructure, introducing AI-driven workplace tools, and improving performance across cloud-to-edge workloads. TCS will also train and certify its workforce on AMD’s latest hardware and software technologies, creating a skilled talent base to support joint solution development and delivery.
Industry-focused GenAI frameworks will be developed for sectors including life sciences, manufacturing, and banking and financial services. These frameworks will address areas such as drug discovery, quality engineering, smart manufacturing, and risk management. The partnership will also deliver accelerators, frameworks, and implementation practices aimed at improving AI performance during both training and inference.
K Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Tata Consultancy Services, said, “This collaboration with AMD supports our efforts to help enterprises scale AI adoption. By bringing together our industry experience and AMD’s computing capabilities, we aim to help organisations move beyond experimentation and deploy AI solutions at scale. The partnership reinforces our focus on building future-ready enterprises.”
Dr Lisa Su, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of AMD, said, “AI adoption is growing rapidly, and real impact depends on scalable computing and close collaboration. AMD is building open computing platforms to support AI across the enterprise, and our work with TCS will help customers turn innovation into practical outcomes across industries.”
As part of the engagement, TCS will integrate AMD Ryzen™ processor-based client solutions for workplace transformation, while using AMD EPYC™ CPUs, AMD Instinct™ GPUs, and AI accelerators to modernise hybrid cloud and high-performance computing environments. AMD’s embedded computing portfolio, including adaptive system-on-chips and FPGAs, will support edge use cases, industrial applications, and inference workloads.
TCS brings extensive experience in designing solutions built on advanced semiconductor technologies, complementing AMD’s computing platforms to enable joint development of next-generation AI and computing solutions.
AMD develops high-performance computing and AI technologies used across cloud infrastructure, embedded systems, AI-enabled PCs, and gaming. Its portfolio includes CPUs, GPUs, networking solutions, and software designed to support scalable and efficient AI computing.
