Tata Technologies and Tenneco have strengthened their long-standing partnership with a new strategic engagement valued at more than $100 million over the next five years. The expanded collaboration is aimed at accelerating engineering innovation, digital transformation and product development while reinforcing India’s role as a global engineering hub.

The agreement was signed on June 30 at Bombay House, the headquarters of the Tata Group in Mumbai, marking the next phase of a partnership that began in 2021. The signing ceremony was attended by senior executives from both organisations, including Jon Bagrosky and Warren Harris, who formalised the agreement.

Under the expanded engagement, Tenneco is expected to invest more than $100 million over the next five years to strengthen engineering capabilities, enhance digital technologies and support business transformation initiatives across its global operations. The collaboration is expected to help accelerate innovation while improving operational efficiency and responsiveness to changing customer requirements.

The partnership will continue to be anchored by Tata Technologies’ Global Engineering Center in Pune, where engineering talent, digital expertise and artificial intelligence-enabled capabilities will be leveraged to support Tenneco’s worldwide product development programmes. The centre will focus on advancing engineering excellence, improving product performance and reducing development timelines across multiple mobility segments.

The expanded engagement reflects both companies’ commitment to developing future-ready engineering capabilities while supporting the evolving needs of the global automotive and mobility industry. It also highlights India’s growing importance as a strategic destination for advanced engineering, research and digital transformation services.

Jon Bagrosky, Chief Administrative Officer of Tenneco, said the strengthened partnership builds on a successful collaboration established over the past several years. He noted that expanding the relationship will enhance the company’s engineering capabilities, improve operational agility and enable Tenneco to deliver greater value to customers across global markets.

Warren Harris, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Tata Technologies, said the expanded engagement demonstrates the strong relationship between the two companies. He added that Tata Technologies will continue to support Tenneco’s global growth strategy by combining deep engineering expertise with advanced digital technologies and business transformation capabilities.

Since the partnership was established in 2021, Tata Technologies has supported Tenneco across engineering, digitalisation and product development initiatives. The latest agreement further strengthens this collaboration as both companies work to develop advanced mobility solutions, accelerate innovation and build more efficient, connected and sustainable products for customers worldwide.
