The Tata Power Company Limited has announced a collaboration with Salesforce to strengthen digital capabilities across its expanding clean energy businesses, including rooftop solar installations, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and smart energy solutions. The initiative will support Tata Power’s broader strategy to accelerate India’s energy transition by developing a connected digital ecosystem powered by artificial intelligence, automation, and data analytics. The collaboration aims to improve customer engagement, streamline partner operations, and support the company’s growing renewable energy portfolio.

As part of the transformation, Tata Power has implemented several Salesforce solutions—Agentforce Sales, Agentforce Service, and Agentforce Marketing—across its renewable energy subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited. These tools enable automated workflows and real-time analytics that support faster decision-making and improved operational efficiency.

The digital platform is designed to manage partner and customer interactions across multiple channels while providing visibility into sales pipelines, inventory status, and project performance. By integrating these processes into a unified system, the company aims to improve coordination across the renewable energy value chain.

Tata Power has also developed an internal digital intelligence layer built on the Salesforce platform that supports automated safety and quality verification. This capability enables on-site validation and automated warranty generation for rooftop solar installations under the company’s Solaroofprogramme.

Government policy initiatives have also contributed to the rapid expansion of rooftop solar adoption in India. The PradhanMantri Surya GharYojana has provided momentum for residential solar installations, contributing to significant growth in Tata Power’s solar business in recent years.

Praveer Sinha said digital technologies play a critical role in enabling large-scale renewable energy deployment while maintaining operational efficiency and customer trust. Arundhati Bhattacharya noted that advanced technologies such as data analytics and artificial intelligence can help organisations accelerate sustainability initiatives while improving operational performance.

Part of the Tata Group, Tata Power operates a diversified portfolio of 16.3 gigawatts of power generation capacity, including 7.5 gigawatts of clean energy, and serves approximately 13 million customers across India. The company has set a target to achieve net-zero emissions by 2045.
