Tata Power, one of India’s largest integrated power companies, has successfully commissioned the 400/220 kV Jalpura–Khurja Transmission Line along with a state-of-the-art 400/220 kV substation at Greater Noida. This landmark infrastructure project marks a significant step in strengthening the power transmission network in western Uttar Pradesh and enhancing the reliability and quality of electricity supply across the region.
The newly commissioned transmission line and substation are designed to cater to the growing power demand arising from rapid urbanization, industrial expansion, and infrastructure development in Greater Noida, Bulandshahr, Khurja, and adjoining areas. With Greater Noida emerging as a major hub for manufacturing, data centers, real estate, and commercial activity, the project will play a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted and stable power supply to key economic zones.
The 400/220 kV Jalpura–Khurja transmission corridor significantly augments the regional grid capacity, enabling efficient evacuation and distribution of power from generation sources to load centers. The Greater Noida substation has been equipped with advanced protection systems, digital monitoring, and modern automation technologies to ensure high operational efficiency, safety, and grid resilience. These features also support faster fault detection and restoration, minimizing downtime and enhancing overall system reliability.
