STL Optical Connectivity NALLC (STLOC), the US subsidiary of STL (Sterlite Technologies Ltd), has expanded its optical connectivity portfolio with the launch of CONCAT, a new fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) solution designed to simplify and accelerate broadband network deployment. The product has been introduced after successfully completing field trials on the network of one of the largest telecom service providers in the United States.

Following successful validation, CONCAT is now available to broadband operators, telecom companies and digital infrastructure providers looking to expand fibre networks faster while reducing installation complexity and costs. The new solution has been developed to address the growing demand for high-speed broadband connectivity and support large-scale fibre rollouts. By using factory-assembled and pre-connectorized fibre segments, CONCAT eliminates most field splicing, allowing plug-and-play installation at project sites. This approach can reduce labour costs by up to 71 percent while improving installation speed and consistency.

Unlike conventional fibre deployment methods, CONCAT shifts fibre preparation and connector termination from the field to a controlled manufacturing environment. This helps improve quality, reduce installation errors and lower operational risks during deployment. The solution also shortens project timelines, enabling service providers to connect customers more quickly and improve overall network rollout efficiency.

CONCAT has been designed for a wide range of fibre deployment projects, including new broadband networks, network expansion programmes and fibre overbuild projects. It is particularly suited for operators working to meet ambitious broadband coverage and high-speed connectivity targets in urban as well as rural markets.

The solution features a pre-connectorized MPO-to-LC cable assembly integrated with a modular enclosure and cassette architecture. It supports both aerial and underground duct installations, providing flexibility across different deployment environments. Its spliceless modular design allows operators to scale their fibre networks more efficiently while reducing the need for truck visits, field rework and specialised labour.

According to STL, the simplified installation process helps lower overall project costs by reducing field activity and improving deployment accuracy. The modular architecture also makes future network expansion easier, enabling service providers to add new customer connections with minimal disruption.

The launch strengthens STL’s presence in the North American broadband infrastructure market as demand for high-capacity fibre networks continues to grow. The company said the new solution is designed to help customers build reliable, future-ready digital infrastructure while improving operational efficiency.

In addition to its successful field deployment, CONCAT has also received recognition from a leading industry innovation awards programme, highlighting its contribution to advancing fibre connectivity solutions. Through innovations such as CONCAT, STL continues to expand its portfolio of optical networking products that support faster, simpler and more cost-effective broadband deployment across global markets.
