Simplex Castings Limited announced its financial results for the third quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025, reflecting pressure on quarterly profitability despite strong growth over the nine-month period. Revenue from operations for the quarter declined marginally by 0.8 percent year-on-year to ₹4,753.31 lakh compared to ₹4,791.84 lakh in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Profit after tax for the quarter fell by 24.3 percent to ₹476.09 lakh from ₹629.12 lakh, while earnings per share declined to ₹6.33 from ₹8.74.
On a sequential basis, revenue declined by 14.2 percent compared to the preceding quarter, while profit after tax decreased by 14.7 percent. Earnings per share for the quarter also moderated from ₹7.42 in Q2 FY26 to ₹6.33.
For the nine months ended December 31, 2025, the Company delivered strong growth, with revenue increasing by 41.3 percent year-on-year to ₹14,814.01 lakh. Profit after tax for the period rose by 30.6 percent to ₹1,507.61 lakh, while earnings per share improved by 25.0 percent to ₹20.05.
The Company disclosed that other income for the quarter included ₹153.02 lakh of interest income from the LIC Gratuity Fund relating to earlier financial years. This prior-period income supported reported profitability for the quarter and partially offset the decline in operating performance.
During the quarter, the Board of Directors approved a proposal to raise up to ₹50.15 crore through a preferential issue of equity shares at an issue price of ₹494 per share, including a premium of ₹484 per share. The proposed fund raise, subject to shareholder and regulatory approvals, is intended to strengthen the Company’s capital base, though it will result in equity dilution.
