Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has secured its largest export order to date, announcing the supply of 35,000 Scorpio Pik Up vehicles to Agrinas Pangan Nusantara in 2026. The vehicles will be deployed under Indonesia’s Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (KDKMP) initiative, aimed at strengthening cooperative-led rural logistics.
Under the partnership, Mahindra and Agrinas will work together to support newly formed village cooperatives by providing reliable transportation solutions that improve the movement of agricultural produce from farms to markets. The initiative is expected to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce post-harvest losses, and support village-level economic activity.
Manufactured at Mahindra’s Nashik facility, the Scorpio Pik Up is known globally for its durability, high payload capacity, and cost-efficient operation. The vehicles are well-suited for Indonesia’s rural terrain, including farm tracks and uneven roads, making them ideal for first-mile and intra-village logistics.
The deployment will strengthen the cooperative ecosystem by enabling aggregation of produce at the village level and improving distribution within cooperative networks. By bridging the gap between farmers and marketplaces, the project aims to create more resilient and self-sustaining rural economies.
The order is expected to significantly boost Mahindra’s international business, with volumes comparable to the company’s total export shipments in the previous financial year. The collaboration aligns with Mahindra’s broader commitment to enabling rural prosperity and supporting national development priorities across global markets.
