Premier Energies Limited has commissioned a 5.6 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Seetharampur, Telangana, marking a major milestone in India’s clean energy manufacturing landscape. Trial production has commenced at the facility, which is expected to significantly enhance the company’s production capabilities and support growing demand for high-efficiency solar solutions.

Spread across 75 acres, the new facility is projected to generate approximately 2,000 jobs, contributing to local economic development while strengthening India’s renewable energy ecosystem. With this addition, Premier Energies’ total solar module manufacturing capacity has reached 11.1 GW, reinforcing its position among the country’s leading solar manufacturers.

The plant features one of India’s most advanced and highly automated production lines, capable of manufacturing four G12R TOPCon solar modules every 16 seconds. The high level of automation ensures precision, consistent quality, and improved throughput, while reducing operational costs and enhancing capacity utilization.

The facility integrates advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence-based fault detection systems that identify and correct defects in real time. This capability improves product reliability and performance, ensuring high-quality output for both domestic and international markets.

Premier Energies has also incorporated TOPCon technology combined with zero busbar architecture, enabling higher energy yield, reduced optical losses, and enhanced durability. These innovations position the company to deliver next-generation solar modules that meet evolving efficiency and performance standards.

Chiranjeev Saluja, Managing Director of Premier Energies, described the commissioning as a significant step toward building a fully integrated solar manufacturing ecosystem. He noted that the company’s focus on advanced technology and value chain integration—from ingots to modules—will enable it to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.

Sudhir Reddy, Chief Strategy Officer, added that the facility aligns with the company’s long-term strategy to strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities and enhance supply chain resilience. He emphasized the importance of scaling production to meet rising global demand for renewable energy solutions.

Premier Energies is undertaking a major capital expenditure program to further expand its manufacturing footprint and diversify into related segments such as inverters, transformers, and battery systems. With a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence, the company continues to play a key role in supporting India’s transition to clean energy.
