Novamax Technologies is set to invest ₹200 crore in a new manufacturing facility in the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), marking a major step in the company’s plans to expand its presence in India’s consumer durables market. The upcoming plant will help Novamax strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and support its entry into new home appliance categories, including air conditioners and washing machines.
The company expects the facility to become operational within the next two years. The project is also expected to create employment opportunities for around 800 people through direct and indirect jobs. According to the company, about 350 people are expected to be employed directly at the facility, while another 450 indirect employment opportunities are likely to be created through the wider manufacturing and supply chain ecosystem.
The investment forms part of Novamax Technologies’ broader plan to expand its product portfolio and manufacturing base in line with changing consumer demand. The new facility will allow the company to manufacture products across a wider range of home appliance categories. Until now, Novamax has built its presence primarily in the air cooler segment and is now looking to expand into larger consumer durable categories.
Harshit Aggarwal, CEO and Founder of Novamax Technologies LLP, said the investment represents an important stage in the company’s growth plans. “The upcoming manufacturing facility in DMIC marks an important step in Novamax Technologies’ growth journey. As we enter new categories such as air conditioners and washing machines, this investment will help us build stronger manufacturing capabilities and support the expansion of our product portfolio,” he said.
Mr Aggarwal added that the company also looks forward to creating employment opportunities and contributing to the development of the local manufacturing ecosystem. The location of the new plant within the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor is expected to provide Novamax with access to established industrial infrastructure and strong connectivity. This could support the company’s manufacturing, logistics and supply chain requirements as it expands operations.
The upcoming DMIC facility will add to Novamax Technologies’ existing manufacturing infrastructure. The company also operates a manufacturing facility in Gorakhpur, which was established to strengthen its production capabilities in the region. Founded in 2019, Novamax Appliances has developed a presence in India’s air cooler market. The company currently has a team of around 250 professionals and focuses on manufacturing and product innovation for the home appliance sector.
With the proposed ₹200 crore investment, Novamax Technologies is taking another step towards building a larger manufacturing platform and expanding into new product categories. The DMIC facility is expected to become an important part of the company’s future growth strategy as it strengthens its position in India’s consumer durables industry.
