MIC Electronics Limited has secured a new contract from Central Railway while also expanding its ongoing engagement with Southern Railway, strengthening its role in the digital transformation of railway infrastructure across India. The company has been awarded a contract valued at over ₹1.12 crore by the Nagpur Division of Central Railway.

The scope of work includes the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of advanced telecom systems and Passenger Information Display Systems (PIDS) at Wardha railway station. The project is aimed at improving real-time passenger communication and enhancing the overall travel experience through accurate and timely information delivery.

Rakshit Mathur, Chief Executive Officer of MIC Electronics, stated that the growing emphasis on smart railway stations under initiatives such as the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme is creating strong opportunities for advanced communication solutions. He noted that the company’s technologies are designed to deliver reliable and seamless information flow, helping passengers stay informed at all times.

In addition to the Central Railway mandate, MIC Electronics is progressing with a major project under Southern Railway’s Salem Division. The initiative is part of the Government of India’s broader plan to upgrade railway stations into modern, passenger-friendly hubs. The project involves deploying integrated Passenger Information Systems across key stations, including Tirupattur, Samalpatti, Morappur, Bommidi, and Salem.

Following a recent scope expansion, the value of the Salem project has been revised to approximately ₹6.76 crore. The increase reflects additional system requirements and enhancements identified during execution.

Both projects involve the installation of advanced digital display boards, centralised data control platforms, telecom infrastructure, and integrated public announcement systems. These solutions are intended to provide passengers with real-time updates, improving convenience and operational efficiency across railway networks.

The developments align with Indian Railways’ broader strategy to modernise infrastructure through the adoption of intelligent technologies. By integrating digital systems into station operations, the focus is on enhancing passenger experience while improving communication reliability.

MIC Electronics continues to build its presence in the railway technology segment by leveraging its expertise in LED display systems and smart communication platforms. The company has been actively involved in delivering scalable solutions across transportation and public infrastructure projects in India. With these latest contract wins and project expansions, MIC Electronics is further strengthening its position as a technology partner supporting India’s evolving railway ecosystem and its transition towards smarter, more connected stations.
