Specialty chemicals producer LANXESS showcased its broad range of solutions for the lubricants and fuels sector at the 3rd Rosefield Conference in Mumbai. A key highlight was the company’s new, more sustainable formulation of its established lubricant additive Additin RC 2515.

The updated version cuts its product carbon footprint by 34% and is made using more than 80% sustainably sourced raw materials verified under the ISCC PLUS certification scheme. The product also carries the LANXESS Scopeblue label, which is reserved for materials containing at least 50% recycled or bio-based content and offering a significantly reduced carbon footprint. With this rollout, LANXESS expands its range of certified products for customers seeking climate-aligned solutions.

LANXESS presented additive systems, synthetic base fluids, and ready-to-use lubricants designed for industries including automotive, mechanical engineering, metal forming, marine, and aviation. These products help reduce friction and wear, protect components from corrosion, and support efficient power transmission—extending machinery lifespan and improving reliability.

“At LANXESS, we are committed to advancing additive technologies that deliver both performance and sustainability,” said Ganesh Khole, Associate GM and Head of Sales and New Business Development for the Lubricant Additives business in India. “Our goal is to help customers manufacture responsibly and adopt solutions that contribute to a lower-carbon future.”
