KPIT Technologies and Vietnam-based engineering and mobility solutions company Vietsol have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on advanced mobility software and engineering services across Southeast Asia. The partnership will focus on key automotive markets including Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines, while also creating opportunities to support selected global mobility programmes.
The collaboration comes as automotive manufacturers accelerate the development of software-defined, connected, autonomous and sustainable vehicles. OEMs are increasingly seeking engineering partners that can combine software expertise, automotive knowledge and strong regional delivery capabilities.
KPIT brings more than three decades of experience in mobility software, relationships with global OEMs and technology accelerators. Vietsol contributes its regional presence, engineering capabilities and talent base across mobility, robotics, manufacturing and military technology.
The companies will jointly engage customers, identify market opportunities and deliver engineering programmes for OEMs and other mobility ecosystem players. The partnership is intended to help customers speed up product development, improve engineering efficiency and bring new mobility technologies to market faster.
The agreement also strengthens KPIT’s growing presence in Vietnam. The company recently established a technology centre in Hanoi and entered into partnerships with universities to develop local engineering talent. The collaboration with Vietsol will further support KPIT’s efforts to participate in Southeast Asia’s expanding automotive technology ecosystem. For Vietsol, the partnership provides an opportunity to connect its local engineering capabilities with KPIT’s global automotive software expertise and support larger regional and international programmes.
