KPIT Technologies, a global technology company focused on software-defined mobility solutions, has reported an 8.9% year-on-year revenue growth in rupee terms for the first quarter of FY27 while securing new business wins worth US$257 million. The company said its quarterly performance exceeded the guidance shared earlier and reaffirmed its medium-term growth outlook.
For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, revenue stood at US$176.8 million. While revenue in constant currency grew 0.1% year-on-year, dollar revenue recorded a marginal decline of 0.6%. EBITDA margin for the quarter was 17.2%, while EBIT margin stood at 12.3%. The company witnessed growth in its United States business as well as in its After Sales and Vehicle Engineering & Design practices.
KPIT attributed the temporary impact on margins to lower revenue during the quarter but expects profitability to improve progressively over the coming quarters. The company said improvements in revenue mix, business growth and productivity gains driven by artificial intelligence are expected to support margin expansion.
Commenting on the results, Kishor Patil, Co-founder, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of KPIT Technologies, said the company’s performance was slightly ahead of expectations despite challenges faced by some of its largest customers. He noted that KPIT’s strategy of diversifying its business across customers, geographies, mobility segments and service offerings is beginning to deliver stable results. He added that artificial intelligence has become an integral part of the company’s portfolio, with growing customer demand for AI-enabled solutions in vehicle engineering, software-defined mobility, digital cockpit technologies, autonomous driving and after-sales services. Patil said KPIT remains confident of delivering stronger growth during the second half of FY27, supported by focused investments, technology capabilities and long-standing customer relationships.
Sachin Tikekar, President and Joint Managing Director of KPIT Technologies, said the company continues to execute its long-term strategy by expanding business with existing customers, strengthening its presence in the truck and off-highway vehicle segments and building relationships with new passenger vehicle manufacturers. He added that KPIT is also deepening its expertise in vehicle engineering, propulsion systems, diagnostics, cybersecurity and AI-enabled mobility solutions. According to him, these initiatives are helping create a broader and more resilient growth platform that will support sustainable and profitable expansion.
With more than 25 years of experience in mobility technology, KPIT Technologies works with leading automotive manufacturers to accelerate the shift towards software and AI-defined vehicles. The company has contributed to over 2,000 vehicle production programmes, and its software currently powers more than 20 million vehicles worldwide, reinforcing its position as a trusted technology partner in the global mobility industry.
