The Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI) will host a technical webinar on 8th July 2026, from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm IST, focusing on measurement and metrology solutions for the machining sector. The session is part of IICCI’s ongoing digital series, Make in India with Italy, which brings Italian industrial technology and expertise to Indian manufacturers.
The webinar, titled “Achieving Micron-Level Precision: Advanced Measurement and Metrology Solutions for Quality, Accuracy and Productivity in Machining,” will feature two technical presentations from Italian companies with operations in India.
Massimo Provasi, Sales Area Manager at Balance Systems S.r.l., will speak on in-process and post-process gauging. His presentation will cover real-time machining monitoring, field data collection, and automatic feedback systems for process stability and optimisation.
Sridhar Narasimhan, Manager at VICIVISION India (VICI & C. S.p.A.), will present on optical metrology for shopfloor environments. The session will address how non-contact measurement technologies can help manufacturers reduce setup times, improve process control, and cut scrap rates, with reference to applications in automotive, aerospace, medical, and precision engineering.
Hari Shanker, Editor in Chief of Machine Maker, will chair the technical session and moderate the Q&A.
The webinar will be opened by Claudio Maffioletti, CEO and Secretary General of IICCI; Alberto Nicolai, International Relations Manager at UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE; and Ms. Anna Ruffino, Counsellor and Head of the Economic and Innovation Department at the Embassy of Italy in India. The vote of thanks will be delivered by Nilesh Joshi, Business Manager for Italian Machinery in India and IICCI’s representative for AMAPLAST and UCIMU India.
Participation is open to manufacturing professionals and industry stakeholders. Interested attendees can register for the webinar here.
