Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced a new set of networking and compute innovations designed to help service providers modernize their infrastructure for the next phase of artificial intelligence and 5G growth. The solutions, unveiled ahead of Mobile World Congress 2026, aim to support low-latency, high-capacity AI workloads across core and edge networks while improving efficiency and security.
The new offerings are intended to help telecom operators and cloud providers build and manage their own AI-enabled infrastructure with simplified operations across compute, storage, and networking. HPE said its expanded portfolio reflects growing demand from service providers seeking to handle higher data traffic, virtualized networks, and new AI-driven services.
Rami Rahim, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Networking at HPE, said AI-ready infrastructure is becoming central to telecom growth strategies. He noted that service providers need intelligent, high-performance networks capable of managing complex workloads while maintaining security and reliability. HPE’s integrated approach is designed to help operators modernize networks, streamline management, and introduce new revenue-generating services.
The announcement also highlights progress in HPE’s integration of Juniper Networks. The combined strategy focuses on secure, high-performance, AI-native networks that can identify and resolve issues automatically, maintain service quality, and provide cloud-like flexibility for managed services. The approach builds on both companies’ experience in large-scale telecom infrastructure, cloud computing, and network security.
Among the new products is the Juniper PTX12000 series of modular routers, built to scale cloud and AI traffic while maintaining consistent performance. The PTX10002 fixed-form routers offer high-density routing in a compact design for AI network fabrics. Routing Director software is now ready for AI-driven automation, enabling operators to troubleshoot routing problems and simplify network management.
HPE will also showcase new compute solutions for telecom networks, including the ProLiant Compute EL9000 chassis and EL140 Gen12 server. These systems offer higher bandwidth, increased core counts, and built-in security features to support demanding 5G and AI workloads. Integration with Juniper’s cloud-native routing software allows operators to combine routing and compute functions, reducing hardware requirements at cell sites.
To help customers manage complex telecom clouds, HPE introduced Cloud Ops Software, an integrated platform that unifies virtualization, containers, monitoring, automation, and cost management across multi-cloud environments. HPE Financial Services also launched a new financing programme to support faster adoption of AI infrastructure. At Mobile World Congress 2026, the company will demonstrate these innovations through live showcases highlighting automation, private 5G, and AI-powered networking.
HPE (NYSE: HPE) delivers enterprise technology that helps organizations operate efficiently, adapt to change, and grow. By bringing together AI, cloud, and networking, HPE supports customers across industries in improving performance, gaining insight from data, and achieving measurable results.
