Addressing this shift, the Appliances business of Godrej Enterprises Group has introduced the Eon Inspire and Edge Impress refrigerator range, comprising both frost-free and direct cool models.
Anchored in a timeless design philosophy and equipped with advanced cooling technologies, the new range features a seamless, fluid curved door design that draws inspiration from India’s first refrigerator, introduced by Godrej in 1958. Notably, the range includes India’s first direct cool refrigerator with touch controls integrated into the door handle.
With this launch, Godrej moves the refrigerator beyond a functional necessity, positioning it as a visual centrepiece within the home. The curved, minimalist design departs from conventional straight lines, while nature-inspired floral patterns add visual depth and freshness. A carefully curated colour palette allows the refrigerators to blend effortlessly with diverse interior styles.
Available in capacities ranging from 194 litres to 330 litres, the range combines contemporary design with practical innovation. The handle-mounted digital control panel—an industry-first for direct cool models—offers a water-resistant, intuitive interface that enables temperature adjustments and mode selection directly from the door.
Commenting on the launch, Anup Bhargava, Product Group Head – Refrigerators at Godrej Enterprises Group, said the focus was on simplifying daily use through intuitive features and adaptable cooling solutions designed for modern lifestyles. Kamal Pandit, Head of Design at the Appliances business, added that the design team revisited the brand’s early design heritage and reinterpreted it for today’s homes, balancing minimalism, display-worthy aesthetics, and ease of use. The Eon Inspire and Edge Impress range is priced between INR 29,000 and INR 56,000 and will be available across leading e-commerce platforms and retail stores nationwide.
