Bridgestone India has announced the winners of the sixth edition of the Mobility Social Impact Awards (MSIA) 2026, recognising organisations and individuals that are using innovative mobility solutions to empower communities, improve road safety and create lasting social impact across India. The winners were felicitated at an awards ceremony in Pune attended by industry leaders and social change-makers, with the winners sharing prize money of Rs. 40 lakh.

The 2026 edition recognised achievements across three categories — Mobility in Empowerment of Vulnerable Communities, Excellence and Innovation in Road Safety, and Changemaker in Road Safety. The winners were felicitated by Dr. Deepak Walokar, Former Director – Karve Institute of Social Service; Ms. Seema Suman, CSR Head – Allstate India; and Ms. Abha Khetarpal Maurya, President – Cross the Hurdles, along with Mr. Rajarshi Moitra, Managing Director, Bridgestone India.

“Serving Society with Superior Quality is at the heart of Bridgestone’s purpose, and the Mobility Social Impact Awards are dedicated towards honouring those who are using mobility to foster meaningful and lasting social impact. We are proud to recognise them and their endeavours towards making roads safer, empowering communities and driving positive social change across India,” said Mr. Rajarshi Moitra, Managing Director, Bridgestone India.

In the Mobility in Empowerment of Vulnerable Communities category, Anubhuti Charitable Trust emerged as the winner. The women-led NGO works with Nomadic, Denotified and Adivasi communities in Maharashtra, with a focus on empowering first-generation learners through education and leadership development. The organisation has so far impacted more than 8 lakh individuals through training, counselling, scholarships, fellowships and awareness programmes.

Hand in Hand India was named runner-up in the category for its initiative aimed at improving access to sanitation facilities for traffic police personnel in Bengaluru. The initiative brings sanitation facilities directly to duty locations, improving health, dignity, safety and operational efficiency, while providing separate and gender-sensitive facilities for men and women.

The Jury Commendation was awarded to MITCON Forum for Social Development for its work in enhancing employability, promoting entrepreneurship, supporting sustainable livelihoods and improving the well-being of underserved communities across rural and urban areas.

In the Excellence and Innovation in Road Safety category, United Way of Mumbai was declared the winner. The organisation mobilises communities and implements solutions to social challenges, with its mobility initiatives reaching more than 250,000 young people and promoting safe, inclusive and sustainable mobility, particularly during school commutes.

Forum for Prevention of Road Accidents (FPRA) was the runner-up for its work in promoting safer roads and communities through awareness programmes, youth engagement, advocacy and evidence-based road safety initiatives. The Jury Commendation went to Foresight Society of Human Resources and Development, whose initiatives have reached more than 125,000 truck drivers across India, helping restore vision, improve health and unlock more than ₹1,000 crore in cumulative social security coverage for the country’s trucking workforce.

The Changemaker in Road Safety category recognised Veeramani Sekar for his individual contribution to road safety. Born speech and hearing impaired, Veeramani has used his skills as a professional mime artist to communicate road safety messages through silent performances at traffic signals and public spaces. By depicting the consequences of reckless driving, his performances offer a powerful alternative to conventional awareness campaigns. He now also trains volunteers to use mime as a road safety awareness tool, expanding the reach of the initiative.

Now in its sixth year, the Mobility Social Impact Awards is Bridgestone India’s flagship initiative to recognise scalable and impactful solutions that use mobility to advance social transformation and community well-being. The jury comprised Dr Deepak Walokar, Former Director – Karve Institute of Social Service; Seema Suman, CSR Head – Allstate India; Abha Khetarpal Maurya, President – Cross the Hurdles; and Jyotsna Sharma and Jitesh Dhingra from the Senior Leadership of Bridgestone India’s Management Team.

The Mobility Social Impact Awards reflect the “Empowerment”, “Ease”, “Emotion” and “Efficiency” values of the Bridgestone E8 Commitment, which represent the company’s commitment to accessibility and dignity, comfortable and seamless mobility, inspiring positive experiences, and enhancing productivity through mobility. Through initiatives such as MSIA, Bridgestone India continues to advance its purpose of “Serving Society with Superior Quality” while supporting safer, more inclusive and empowered communities across the country.
