Atlas Copco, a global supplier of compressors, generators, pumps, power tools, and light towers, has introduced the X-Air⁺ 750-20, a new portable air compressor developed to support demanding water well drilling and mining applications. The launch responds to growing requirements across India for equipment that delivers consistent performance, operational flexibility, low noise levels, and improved fuel efficiency.
Rapid urban development, stricter noise regulations, complex ground conditions, and rising fuel costs have reshaped expectations for drilling equipment. The X-Air⁺ 750-20 has been engineered to address these challenges by combining high output with quiet operation, enhanced mobility, and intelligent control systems. The model reflects Atlas Copco’s continued focus on delivering future-ready portable air solutions.
Designed for sustained performance in long drilling cycles, the X-Air⁺ 750-20 incorporates multiple features aimed at improving productivity and reliability. A foam-insulated, compact canopy reduces noise, making the unit suitable for urban and underground environments. Its electronically managed engine optimizes fuel consumption through intelligent control, helping lower operating costs without compromising power.
The compressor is equipped with the Xc2004 controller, enabling precise regulation of pressure between 175 and 290 psi and adjustable airflow from 670 to 740 cfm. This level of control supports faster drilling rates and efficient adaptation to varying site conditions. A compact, double-layer metal canopy with corrosion protection enhances durability while allowing easy transport and operation in confined or rugged locations.
Maintenance requirements are reduced through extended service intervals of up to 1,000 hours, minimizing downtime and lifecycle costs. In addition, Smart Box remote monitoring provides real-time operating data, service alerts, and predictive maintenance insights, supporting effective fleet management and improved equipment availability.
Delivering continuous high-pressure airflow over extended drilling periods is a critical requirement in sectors such as water well drilling, mining exploration, tunneling, geotechnical work, and energy applications. The X-Air⁺ 750-20 meets this need through precision control technology that automatically adjusts airflow and pressure based on real-time demand, ensuring uninterrupted productivity in challenging environments.
Commenting on the launch, Prasanna Kulkarni, General Manager – Power Technique Customer Center at Atlas Copco (India) Pvt. Ltd., said the new compressor was developed with a clear understanding of customer operating challenges. He noted that the design focuses on reducing downtime, improving fuel efficiency, and delivering consistent performance even in demanding conditions, reinforcing Atlas Copco’s commitment to supporting drilling and mining operators across India.
With the addition of the X-Air⁺ 750-20, Atlas Copco further strengthens its portfolio of portable air compressors, offering customers higher productivity, lower operating costs, and reliable performance for critical drilling and mining applications. With a proven legacy of delivering complete, turnkey solutions, Atlas Copco is playing a central role in transforming the e-mobility landscape, empowering manufacturers to confidently build the next generation of electric vehicles.
