3D Systems (NYSE: DDD) continues to advance digital dentistry through its comprehensive portfolio of solutions that enable dental laboratories and clinics to produce highly precise, patient-specific devices for straightening, protecting, repairing, and replacing teeth. Central to this capability is the company’s NextDent® material range, which supports over 30 dental applications.

These clinically validated 3D printing resins are developed to meet diverse clinical needs, including the fabrication of crowns, bridges, and other prosthetic components. Materials such as NextDent C&B MFH (Micro Filled Hybrid) are engineered to deliver strength and durability, making them ideal for restorative procedures.

3D Systems further strengthened this offering by partnering with Saremco Dental AG, making the CROWNTEC™ permanent crown material available for use with its NextDent 3D printers. NextDent materials are compatible with 3D Systems’ proprietary printers—NextDent 5100 and NextDent LCD1—as well as a range of third-party dental 3D printers.

This open integration model supports broader industry adoption by allowing dental providers to benefit from NextDent’s legacy of precision and biocompatibility, regardless of their existing equipment. All medical-grade materials in the portfolio meet global regulatory requirements and are designed for efficient clinical workflows. These solutions contribute to cost reduction, improved patient outcomes, and operational scalability for dental labs and clinics.

The company’s strategy is grounded in four core application areas—straighten, protect, repair, and replace—which together represent a significant market opportunity. According to internal estimates, the U.S. market for dental “repair” applications alone could reach approximately $150 million by 2029, with the total U.S. dental 3D printing market projected to approach $1 billion.

Building on more than three decades of additive manufacturing expertise, 3D Systems integrates advanced hardware, specialized materials, and proprietary software to deliver high-value solutions across the healthcare and industrial sectors. With its strong foundation in innovation and material science, the company remains focused on transforming dental manufacturing practices and improving patient care worldwide.
