Following the recently concluded EMO Hanover 2025, the prestigious global benchmark for the metalworking industry, is set to return to Italy in 2027. The event will be hosted at Fieramilano from October 4 to 8. It will once again be organised by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Italian association representing manufacturers of machine tools, robots, and automation technologies.

As tradition dictates, the official announcement was made during the press conference held at EMO HANNOVER, organised by UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE. CECIMO promotes EMO, the European Association of Manufacturing Technologies, and is coordinated by EFIM–ENTE FIERE ITALIANE MACCHINE. The event alternates between Hanover and Milan every three years. Its return to Milan in 2027 marks six years since the last Italian edition, which took place in 2021 under challenging conditions due to the pandemic — yet still managed to attract 60,000 visitors from countries that allowed international travel at the time.

Even in those difficult circumstances, the numbers confirmed EMO’s strong global appeal and Milan’s strategic role as a well-connected and accessible location. The 2015 edition further underlined this success, setting records for both attendance and exhibition space in Milan.

Looking ahead, EMO MILANO 2027 promises to offer a rich and forward-looking programme, with the theme “A Journey to the Centre of Innovation” guiding the event’s communications and positioning. The exhibition will provide a comprehensive overview of the industry’s latest solutions — from metal cutting and forming machinery to robotics, automation, additive manufacturing, digital tools, and AI applications. A special focus will be placed on technologies contributing to sustainable industrial development.

Given the expected level of interest and Milan’s growing international profile, the 2027 edition is forecasted to sell out. All 12 exhibition halls at Fieramilano have already been reserved. From September 2025, a dedicated hospitality service will be launched to help visitors and exhibitors secure accommodation in Milan and the surrounding areas.

To support this, EMO MILANO 2027 has partnered with MiCo DMC, the event’s exclusive booking partner. Through the official website emo-milan.com, participants will be able to access a user-friendly platform for hotel reservations, with a wide range of options by location and price, bookable well in advance.

Further details, updates, and promotional initiatives related to the show will be announced progressively as the event approaches. Meanwhile, preliminary information and resources are already available at emo-milan.com, which will become the go-to hub for exhibitors and attendees starting in September 2025.
