The company also announced strategic investments across advanced materials, battery components, and speciality chemicals to strengthen its position as a global application-driven materials solutions provider.
For Q1 FY27, Himadri reported consolidated revenue of ₹1,432 crore, EBITDA of ₹313 crore, translating into an EBITDA margin of 22%, and PAT of ₹228 crore, reflecting a PAT margin of 16%. The company recorded a 27% year-on-year growth in PAT, supported by an improved product mix, increased contribution from speciality materials, and continued progress in its diversification strategy.
Commenting on the performance, Anurag Choudhary, CMD & CEO, Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd, said, “We have delivered our highest-ever quarterly revenue, EBITDA and PAT, reflecting the strength of our business model and the progress of our transformation journey. Our focus remains on moving up the value chain through technology-led innovation, advanced materials, and global partnerships. We are building capabilities that position Himadri for sustainable growth in emerging industries, particularly energy storage and next-generation materials.”
The company has announced significant investments to expand its speciality materials portfolio. Himadri has successfully developed indigenous Carbon Nanotube (CNT) technology through its in-house research and development capabilities. The company plans to establish a 200 MTPA CNT manufacturing facility with an estimated investment of ₹70 crore, targeted for commissioning in Q4 FY27. CNTs have applications across lithium-ion batteries, electronics, semiconductors, conductive films, sensors, advanced composites, coatings, construction, and aerospace.
Himadri is also strengthening its position in premium carbon materials through the development of Super Speciality Carbon Black (SSCB). With an investment of approximately ₹170 crore, the company plans to convert around 6,000 MTPA of existing carbon black capacity into SSCB production, targeting commissioning in Q4 FY28. The product is expected to cater to high-value applications including battery materials, engineered plastics, coatings, fibres, and conductive solutions.
The company continues to expand its New Energy Materials business, having commissioned a 200 MTPA anode material facility at Mahistikry, West Bengal, in April 2026. Himadri is also developing capabilities in Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) Cathode Active Materials, with a planned 2,000 MTPA commercial facility targeted for commissioning in Q3 FY27.
Himadri has strengthened its battery ecosystem investments, with strategic partner Sicona securing AUD 45 million funding from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) for silicon-carbon anode technology commercialisation. The company has also increased its stake in International Battery Company from 17.29% to 19.44%.
The company continues to advance growth initiatives across its core businesses, including speciality carbon black, coal tar pitch, anthraquinone, and carbazole. Its anthraquinone and carbazole project remains on schedule, with Phase I capacity of 2,600 MTPA expected to commission in Q2 FY27.
Recognised for its sustainability and governance initiatives, Himadri has received global accolades including the EcoVadis Platinum Medal for the second consecutive cycle and recognition at international sustainability platforms. With continued investments in advanced materials, innovation, and sustainable manufacturing, Himadri remains focused on building a globally competitive materials business aligned with emerging industrial and energy transition opportunities.
