Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Limited (SWREL) (BSE Scrip Code: 542760; NSE Symbol: SWSOLAR), a leading global renewable energy engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) solutions provider, has reported its strongest post-Covid unexecuted order value (UOV) of approximately ₹13,000 crore for the first quarter of FY27, reflecting strong business momentum and growing customer confidence.

The company also announced the securing of a landmark international project in Egypt through a 50:50 joint venture with one of the leading contractors in the region. Valued at approximately USD 560 million, the project involves the development of the West Minya Solar Power Project in Egypt’s Minya Governorate. The large-scale renewable energy project comprises a 1,000 MW AC solar photovoltaic plant integrated with a 600 MWh battery energy storage system and is expected to be among Egypt’s largest utility-scale renewable energy developments upon completion.

SWREL’s domestic EPC business continued to remain a key growth driver, supported by a strong order book of approximately ₹7,900 crore. The company maintained stable gross margins in the range of 9–10%, providing a strong foundation for sustainable execution and future growth.

During the quarter, SWREL recorded a 36% year-on-year growth in Profit After Tax (PAT), while revenue from its operations and maintenance (O&M) segment increased by 40% year-on-year as the managed portfolio continued to expand. The company also reduced its term debt by approximately ₹160 crore sequentially through scheduled repayments, further strengthening its financial position.

Commenting on the performance, Chandra Kishore Thakur, Global CEO, Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Group, said, “The strong growth in our order pipeline and the highest-ever UOV achieved post-Covid demonstrate the confidence customers place in our capabilities. We remain optimistic about translating this robust order visibility into revenue growth in the coming quarters. Our experienced workforce and strong execution capabilities position us well to deliver projects within committed timelines while maintaining operational excellence.”

Along with its strong order book, SWREL has a diversified bid pipeline exceeding 27.7 GW across solar, wind, battery energy storage, and third-party O&M opportunities. This diversification strengthens the company’s ability to participate in the evolving global renewable energy market.
