Organic Recycling Systems Limited (ORSL) has announced a strategic business development and service collaboration with General Carbon Advisory Services Private Limited to expand its sustainability and carbon management offerings. The partnership will focus on advisory support related to the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), strengthening ORSL’s position in the evolving climate compliance services market.

The collaboration marks a significant diversification for ORSL, which is known for its work in waste valorisation, bioenergy solutions, and environmental engineering. Through this initiative, the company is moving into high-value advisory services aimed at helping industries address emerging global carbon regulations and reporting requirements.

Under the partnership framework, ORSL will utilise its established industrial relationships and sector expertise to identify companies requiring support in CBAM preparedness, emissions tracking, carbon reporting, and sustainability compliance. General Carbon Advisory Services will provide technical expertise, including emissions assessment methodologies, reporting frameworks, verification processes, and regulatory advisory support.

The initiative is being launched at a time when international trade regulations, particularly CBAM, are expected to significantly impact export-oriented industries. Sectors such as steel, aluminium, cement, chemicals, and engineering goods are likely to face increased requirements for transparent emissions disclosure and compliance readiness in order to maintain access to global markets.

The service offering will include CBAM readiness assessments, emissions data validation, carbon accounting systems, supplier engagement frameworks, sustainability reporting structures, and coordination for third-party verification and assurance. It will also extend to broader decarbonisation strategy advisory to help companies align with long-term climate transition goals.

Yashas Bhand, Whole-time Director of ORSL, stated that global carbon regulation frameworks are reshaping the way industries operate and compete. He noted that Indian manufacturers require structured and practical support to navigate these changes effectively. According to him, the collaboration strengthens ORSL’s ability to deliver integrated sustainability and carbon compliance solutions while building long-term value for clients.

From the advisory partner side, Priyanka Pothana, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of General Carbon Advisory Services, stated that carbon regulations such as CBAM are effectively translating emissions into financial exposure for businesses. She highlighted that carbon management must now be treated with the same level of discipline as financial planning. She added that the collaboration with ORSL will enable companies to adopt a structured, strategy-led approach that combines carbon data analysis with financial impact assessment and long-term decarbonisation planning.

ORSL stated that the initiative is aligned with its broader strategy of evolving into a comprehensive cleantech and sustainability solutions provider. The company aims to support industries in adapting to global shifts toward low-carbon operations and climate-resilient business models.

Founded in 2008, ORSL operates as an environmental engineering company focused on sustainable waste management and resource recovery solutions. It is known for developing and deploying technologies across the waste value chain, including India’s first municipal solid waste processing facility based on a patented anaerobic biomethanation process recognised under national environmental initiatives.
