Under the stand theme “Sustainability,” ZECHA brings a five-day programme of new precision tool series, a first preview of its CBN family Manta, and two digital tools launching live at the show. ZECHA will be exhibiting at Halle 1, Stand 1E10 for the full run of AMB 2026, September 15–19.
ZECHA Hartmetall-Werkzeugfabrikation GmbH returns to AMB 2026, the International Exhibition for Metal Working, running September 15–19 at Messe Stuttgart (Halle 1, Stand 1E10), with its largest new-product line-up in recent years. The stand’s theme this year is “Sustainability” — built around the argument that tool life, not tool price, is what actually reduces a customer’s resource consumption, an idea the company is putting on direct display through a live comparison of its diamond-coated, laser-sharpened Iguana tool against 250 standard tools in non-ferrous machining.
“What my father started in 1964 has changed enormously since the machines, the materials, the markets we serve. But one thing has not changed: precision. Precision is still made by the people standing in front of the machine, not by the machine alone,” said Stefan Zecha, Managing Director and Owner of ZECHA Hartmetall-Werkzeugfabrikation GmbH. “This year’s AMB line-up, from our new micro PCD drills to the first preview of Manta, is exactly that — new technology built by people who have spent decades getting precision right.”

The centrepiece of ZECHA’s new-product programme is a range of micro PCD drills, lasered to diameters of Ø 0.05–0.5 mm, nominated for the AMB Award 2026 in the Precision Tools category. The company is demonstrating the technology live through its “Hologram Box” — three brass plates bearing three motifs, a chip structure, a leaf and a fingerprint, produced entirely from 2,493 micro holes drilled with PCD micro drills of Ø 0.199–0.34 mm on a KERN Micro HD, in 2 hours and 35 minutes. Alongside it, ZECHA is expanding several of its core series: QUEEN BEE 589 grows to include three-, four- and six-flute end mills for titanium, stainless and hardened steels up to 58 HRC; PEACOCK 9921 adds toroidal CBN grinding pins for roughing and pre-finishing steels from 60 to 70 HRC; and a new MICRO PEACOCK 599M series brings ball-nose and toroidal cutters from Ø 0.3 to 1.0 mm for materials up to 67 HRC. A new PEACOCK 461H combines drilling, thread milling and chamfering of M3–M12 threads in a single tool without a tool change, and AMB 2026 marks the first public preview of MANTA, a new CBN tool family for finishing and polishing hardened steels up to 70 HRC.
ZECHA is also launching two digital tools at the show: the MARLIN 3D online configurator, which lets customers specify PCD special tools directly and see pricing and delivery once signed in, and a new cutting-data calculator offering recommended values for existing and new tool series that can be matched to a customer’s machine, part and process. Both are anchored by a digital info point at the stand entrance, consolidating all of AMB 2026’s new releases for visitors to explore on the spot or request to have sent on afterwards.
“Between our new Queen Bee, Peacock and Manta series, the ALFATOOL and MPK partnerships, and everything else on the stand this year, AMB 2026 is the widest range of solutions we have ever been able to put in front of a customer at one time,” said Arndt Fielen, Sales Director of ZECHA Hartmetall-Werkzeugfabrikation GmbH. “It lets us have a very different conversation with European manufacturers — from the most specialised micro tool to a broad, dependable standard range under the same roof.”
The stand also carries two partner showcases from within the ZECHA Group: Swiss solid-carbide manufacturer ALFATOOL, whose engraving, micro, end and roughing mills, drills and countersinks extend ZECHA’s own solid carbide range, and Schwäbisch Gmünd-based MPK Special Tools, which manufactures punching, cutting and forming tools in carbide, ceramics and steel to micrometre tolerances. Beyond its own stand, ZECHA tooling will be visible live in action across 17 partner stands in five further halls at AMB 2026, including SolidCAM, Lang Technik, REGO-FIX, Star Micronics, Benzinger, Anderson Europe, Bumotec, GF Machining, Willemin-Macodel, KERN, Exeron, Röders, Tecnoteam, Precitrame, Chiron, Zorn Maschinenbau and DMG MORI.
Also making its first appearance on the stand is ZECTEC, the premium, high-performance precision tools brand owned by Zecha India and built in Sambhajinagar (formerly Aurangabad). ZECTEC is developed specifically for industry applications outside ZECHA’s own range — with ZECHA Hartmetall-Werkzeugfabrikation GmbH acting as its master dealer for Germany and the Benelux region. AMB 2026 marks ZECTEC’s first showing in Europe, following its launch in India and a showcase at Metalex Bangkok.
ZECHA Hartmetall-Werkzeugfabrikation GmbH was founded in 1964 by Erwin Zecha in Königsbach-Stein, Germany, and has spent more than 60 years developing and manufacturing precision cutting, forming and laser-machined tools, with particular strength in micro-precision. The company is part of a group that also includes Zecha Precision Tools Limited (Mumbai, India), MPK Special Tools (Schwäbisch Gmünd), and a partnership with Swiss solid-carbide manufacturer ALFATOOL. Machine Maker will be tracking ZECHA’s AMB 2026 showcase as part of its ongoing coverage of the show, ahead of and during the event.
