Godrej Enterprises Group’s Aerospace business has contributed critical propulsion and satellite systems to the Indian Space Research Organisation’s (ISRO) successful EOS-05 Earth observation mission, supporting the satellite’s journey from launch to orbit. EOS-05 was launched aboard ISRO’s GSLV-F17 rocket and is designed to support applications including weather forecasting, agriculture planning, natural resource management and environmental monitoring. The satellite is expected to provide data that can assist government agencies and other stakeholders in decision-making related to weather, agriculture and environmental management.

Godrej Enterprises Group contributed several critical systems for the GSLV-F17 mission, including Vikas engines, cryogenic engine nozzles and satellite thruster components. These systems supported the mission across key stages from lift-off to the satellite’s placement in orbit.

“Every successful space mission is a moment of pride for the nation. For over four decades, we have contributed to India’s space programme through the manufacture of liquid propulsion engines and satellite thruster components. It is a legacy of engineering excellence that continues to fuel India’s ambitions in space,” said Maneck Behramkamdin, Business Head, Aerospace business, Godrej Enterprises Group.

The EOS-05 mission marks another milestone in India’s expanding space programme and highlights the contribution of domestic engineering and manufacturing capabilities to national space missions. Godrej Enterprises Group has supported ISRO’s space programme through its involvement in several landmark missions over the years, contributing technologies and manufacturing capabilities for propulsion and satellite systems.

The company’s Aerospace business has built capabilities in the manufacture of liquid propulsion engines and satellite thruster components, supporting the evolving requirements of India’s space programme. These capabilities form part of the Group’s broader engineering and manufacturing portfolio serving strategic and industrial applications.

The EOS-05 mission also reflects the increasing role of Indian industry in supporting the country’s space ambitions. As India continues to develop its capabilities across launch vehicles, satellites and associated systems, partnerships between national institutions and domestic manufacturers are contributing to the development of advanced engineering and manufacturing expertise. Through its continued work with ISRO, Godrej Enterprises Group aims to support the country’s efforts in space technology while strengthening indigenous capabilities in critical aerospace systems.
