Manpower availability and shop-floor productivity have become defining concerns for Indian manufacturing, and toolrooms are increasingly looking to automation to close that gap. As Pune Machine Tool Expo (PMTX) 2026 approaches, Ace Designers Limited is preparing to meet that shift head-on with a stall built around robot-integrated machining.

In a conversation with Machine Maker, Ravi Bhintade, Deputy General Manager, Zonal Head – MH1 at Ace Designers Limited, walks through what the AceMicromatic Group company is bringing to the Pune Machine Tool Expo 2026 at the Pune International Exhibition and Convention Centre (PIECC), Moshi, from 7 to 10 September.

“At PMTX 2026, we are showcasing the J300 LM turning centre with a Syntec controller integrated with a Syntec robot, demonstrating automated machining,” he says. “Along with this, we are exhibiting the HMC 400 XL horizontal machining centre and E-Grind 200 cylindrical grinding machine. We also have dedicated podiums showcasing our laser cutting solutions, 3D metal printing machines, Taurus SPM machines, IoT solutions, and Aftermarket products, offering visitors a comprehensive view of the AceMicromatic Group’s capabilities.”

Automation is the clear focus of this edition, he explains. “Our key focus at this exhibition is automation, demonstrated through the Syntec robot integrated with the J300 LM. Today, manpower availability and productivity are major concerns for the manufacturing industry. To address this, we have established a dedicated automation team offering turnkey automation solutions using gantry systems, cobots, front-load automation, and industrial robots.” The Aftermarket range on display speaks to the same efficiency concern from a different angle, he adds: “We are also showcasing our Aftermarket product range, including hydraulic power packs, shrink-fit machines, liquid coolers, tool holders, chip briquetors, and chip vacuum units, which help customers improve productivity and overall shop-floor efficiency.”

Pune’s manufacturing base gives Ace Designers a wide canvas to work with. “Pune has been an automobile manufacturing hub for several decades, and the automotive sector continues to be an important market for us,” he notes. “At the same time, we are delighted to see strong growth in die & mould, exports, aerospace, defence, and oil & gas sectors in the region. With our comprehensive range of turning, milling, and grinding solutions, we are well positioned to cater to the diverse machining requirements of these industries.”

That range extends directly onto the stall floor. “At PMTX, visitors can see our Syntec robot-based automation on the J300 LM, while AceMicromatic Group also offers turnkey solutions based on gantry systems, cobots, front-load automation, and robots, depending on the customer’s application and requirement,” he says.

Looking beyond the show, Ravi Bhintade sees the western corridor as one of the company’s strongest growth markets. “We see huge growth potential across the Western manufacturing corridor, driven by investments in automotive, aerospace, defence, engineering, and other emerging sectors. AceMicromatic Group has already expanded its reach through a strong network of offices, franchisees, tech centres, and dealers across India, with 70+ locations supporting our customers in sales and service. We are also strengthening our aftermarket and spare-parts business through dedicated outlets and regional warehouses to provide faster and better support to our customers.”

For Ace Designers, PMTX 2026 is an opportunity to put its full range in front of the region’s manufacturers in one place. “Our message is simple: AceMicromatic Group is a one-stop solution provider for manufacturing and machining requirements,” he says. “We warmly invite all visitors to visit the AceMicromatic Group stall, where they can experience our complete range of machining, automation, grinding, laser cutting, 3D metal printing, SPM, IoT, and Eco solutions under one roof. We look forward to welcoming visitors and demonstrating how AceMicromatic Group can partner with them to improve productivity, automation, and manufacturing efficiency.” Visitors can find the Ace Designers team at Hall No. 1, Stall No. A108, PIECC, Moshi, from 7 to 10 September.
