More than 3,000 engineering students, academicians, practising engineers, consultants, governmen officials and construction industry professionals are expected to attend the & Engineers’ Day Celebration 2026 in Pune. The two-day event will be held on September 10 and 11 at Anantrao Pawar College of Engineering & Research (APCOER), S. No. 103, Shahu College Campus, Parvati, Pune. The programme is being jointly organised by the Pune RMC Association, Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) and APCOER.
The celebration will focus on engineering, innovation, sustainable construction and new technologies in the concrete and infrastructure sectors. It will bring together representatives from academia, government departments, infrastructure agencies, professional institutions and the construction industry.
A major part of the programme will be dedicated to engineering students and young professionals. Several technical and innovation-based competitions will be conducted at the state and national levels. These will include project and start-up competitions, research paper and poster presentations, concrete cube competitions, green concrete mix design, CAD drawing, ice-stick bridge building, technical quizzes and innovative ideas competitions.
The event will also feature technical seminars, a construction technology exhibition, live product demonstrations and industry networking sessions. The construction technology exhibition is expected to be one of the key attractions. Companies from the construction, concrete, infrastructure and engineering sectors will display their latest equipment, products and technologies. XCMG, THERMAX, JSW, Ammann, Putzmeister, REPOS, Sprint and several other companies are participating as exhibitors.
The exhibition will give students and young engineers an opportunity to interact directly with industry representatives and learn about construction equipment, concrete technologies and current practices. It will also strengthen interaction between educational institutions and industry.
Technical sessions during the event will cover modern construction practices, sustainable infrastructure, metro rail engineering, highway engineering, structural and geotechnical engineering, quality control, non-destructive testing and structural health monitoring.Other areas of discussion will include construction safety, digital construction technologies and future infrastructure development.
The organisers said the event aims to provide students with practical exposure while creating opportunities for professionals to exchange technical knowledge and discuss emerging trends in construction. Engineering institutions, government departments, infrastructure agencies, consultants, contractors, builders, developers, professional bodies and technology companies have been invited to participate. The celebration is expected to provide a common platform for students, industry professionals and policymakers to discuss the technologies and practices that can support India’s infrastructure development.
