Marking the anniversary of Operation Sindoor, Zen Technologies Limited introduced India’s first fully integrated, AI-powered anti-drone system at the North Tech Symposium 2026. The system has been designed and developed within the country, highlighting progress in indigenous defence technology and innovation.

The launch comes at a time when drone-led warfare is rapidly evolving, with increasing use of low-cost first-person view (FPV) drones and coordinated swarm attacks in conflict zones worldwide. These emerging threats have challenged conventional air defence systems, creating the need for advanced countermeasures. Zen Technologies’ latest solution is built to address this changing landscape through artificial intelligence-driven detection and neutralization capabilities.

The system offers wideband frequency coverage ranging from 70 MHz to 12 GHz, enabling it to detect and disrupt various drone communication channels. It features an extended detection range exceeding 15 kilometers and can track more than 100 drones simultaneously, making it suitable for handling swarm-based threats.

Its layered defence architecture combines multiple neutralization methods, including radio frequency jamming, GNSS disruption, integration with remotely controlled weapon systems, air defence guns and interceptor mechanisms. An indigenous high-sensitivity radar further enhances performance with detection capability of up to 20 kilometers, particularly for small and low-signature aerial targets.

At the centre of the platform is a data fusion and command system that consolidates inputs from multiple sensors. Using advanced algorithms, it enables accurate identification, tracking and response to aerial threats in real time.

Speaking at the event, Ashok Atluri, Chairman and Managing Director of Zen Technologies, stated that recent developments in drone warfare have underlined the urgency of building robust counter-drone capabilities. He emphasized that the newly launched system is designed to provide a technological edge by reducing reliance on imports while strengthening domestic defence readiness.

The platform has been developed for flexible deployment across multiple configurations. It can be mounted on vehicles for mobile operations, deployed as a portable unit for field personnel, or installed as a fixed system to protect critical infrastructure and strategic assets with continuous surveillance.

Zen Technologies has a long-standing presence in defence training and anti-drone solutions, supported by in-house research and manufacturing capabilities in Hyderabad. With a portfolio that includes numerous patents and thousands of systems delivered globally, the company continues to expand its offerings to address emerging security challenges.
