Škoda Auto has revealed the first look at the interior of its upcoming all-electric compact SUV, the ŠkodaEpiq, offering insight into the brand’s evolving design direction. Positioned as the company’s most accessible electric SUV, the Epiq will make its global debut in Zurich on 19 May 2026.
The interior reflects Škoda’s Modern Solid design language, which emphasises simplicity, functionality, and a clean visual layout. Early design sketches highlight a structured and angular aesthetic, with a strong focus on clarity and user-friendly interaction. A horizontal interior architecture replaces the traditional dashboard, creating a more open and spacious cabin environment.
The design prioritises intuitive usability for both driver and passengers. A clearly organised layout ensures ease of operation, while ambient lighting elements add to the overall comfort and visual appeal of the cabin. The interior also incorporates practical features such as an open storage compartment and a free-standing centre console equipped with wireless charging capability.
Sustainability plays a central role in the design approach, with carefully selected materials used throughout the cabin in line with the Modern Solid philosophy. The integration of eco-conscious elements reflects the company’s broader efforts to align product development with environmental considerations.
The ŠkodaEpiq is expected to play a significant role in expanding the company’s battery electric vehicle portfolio, with plans to double its BEV offerings in 2026. As part of the European Urban Car Family within the Volkswagen Group Brand Group Core, the model is aimed at making electric mobility more accessible to a wider customer base.
Škoda Auto continues to advance its long-term growth strategy, focusing on a balanced portfolio that includes electric, hybrid, and internal combustion engine vehicles. The company aims to strengthen its position in Europe while expanding its presence in key growth markets such as India, Vietnam, and the ASEAN region.
With a product lineup spanning multiple segments and a global presence across nearly 100 markets, Škoda Auto delivered over one million vehicles worldwide in 2025. The company operates major production facilities in the Czech Republic, along with additional manufacturing capacities in several international markets through partnerships.
