Zelio E-Mobility Limited has commenced commercial production at its fourth manufacturing facility in Patan, Hisar, Haryana. The new plant adds annual production capacity of 48,000 electric two-wheelers and 24,000 electric three-wheelers, increasing the company’s total installed capacity from 2.4 lakh to approximately 3.12 lakh units.

Spread across six acres, the facility has a built-up area of 2,61,360 sq. ft. It has started manufacturing electric scooters under the Zelio brand and Tanga electric three-wheelers. Production will be scaled according to dealer demand, product mix and supply-chain readiness, with the additional capacity expected to come on stream during the third quarter of FY2026–27.

Zelio has committed an investment of more than ₹20 crore for the facility under its approved capital expenditure plan. Part of the investment has been funded through proceeds from the company’s initial public offering, in line with the stated objects of the issue. Any additional funding requirement will be met through internal accruals.

The Hisar facility is the company’s fourth manufacturing unit, following its existing plants at Ladwa in Haryana, Cuttack in Odisha and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu. The new plant has in-house fabrication, painting and assembly lines, supporting Zelio’s plans for greater backward integration. The company expects these capabilities to improve control over manufacturing processes, production quality, costs and supply-chain operations.

The additional capacity is expected to support the company’s expanding dealer network, improve product availability and reduce replenishment timelines. It will also help strengthen distribution in Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets by improving logistics and supply to regional dealers.

Divyanshu Agarwal, CEO of Zelio E-Mobility, said the investment was aimed at improving control over critical manufacturing processes, maintaining consistency across production lines and ensuring timely vehicle supplies to dealers. He added that the facility would also support local manufacturing employment and engagement with the industrial ecosystem in the region.

Kunal Arya, Managing Director of Zelio E-Mobility, said the new plant would provide a stronger manufacturing base as the company expands its presence in smaller cities and towns. He said the company would continue to focus on profitability and disciplined growth.

The facility is expected to create jobs in fabrication, painting, assembly, quality control, maintenance and warehousing as production increases. It is also expected to generate indirect opportunities for local suppliers, logistics companies and other service providers.

Zelio reported revenue of ₹313.68 crore in FY2025–26, representing year-on-year growth of 81.8%. Its revenue compound annual growth rate over the previous four years stood at 121%. The company said it has remained profitable since its inception. It was listed on the BSE SME platform in October 2025, raising ₹78.34 crore through its public issue at an issue price of ₹136 per share. Zelio currently has more than 400 dealers across over 25 states and is targeting a network of more than 550 dealerships by FY2027.

Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Haryana, Zelio E-Mobility manufactures electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers. Its product portfolio includes electric scooters and Tanga electric three-wheelers. The company has a dealer network of more than 400 outlets across India and focuses on vehicle development, manufacturing and customer support.
