Wipro Limited has strengthened its partnership with Databricks to help enterprises modernize their data infrastructure and deploy artificial intelligence (AI) solutions at scale. The expanded collaboration is aimed at helping businesses build secure, AI-ready data platforms while accelerating digital transformation across industries.
As part of the partnership, Wipro has established a dedicated Databricks business practice that will focus on developing industry-specific solutions, accelerators and AI-driven offerings. The new practice will combine Wipro’s consulting expertise, technology capabilities and industry knowledge with Databricks’ advanced data and AI platform to help organizations unlock greater business value from their data.
The partnership is designed to help enterprises move beyond fragmented data systems and isolated AI experiments by building integrated, enterprise-wide AI environments. It will enable customers to modernize existing data investments while creating new AI-powered applications tailored to industry-specific requirements.
The collaboration will integrate Databricks’ capabilities in agentic AI, data modernization, analytics and application development with Wipro Intelligence™, the company’s suite of AI-powered platforms and solutions. It will also leverage Wipro’s agent-native delivery platform, WEGA, to support organizations in migrating from legacy systems to scalable, cloud-based and AI-ready data architectures.
The dedicated practice will also utilize Databricks Genie, an AI-powered assistant that enables business users and technical teams to interact with enterprise data using natural language. This capability is expected to simplify data access, improve decision-making and accelerate the adoption of AI across organizations.
Commenting on the announcement, Kanwar Singh, Managing Partner – Technology Services at Wipro Limited, said the expanded partnership reflects the shared commitment of both companies to help enterprises move beyond AI experimentation and generate measurable business outcomes. He added that the new business practice brings together specialized talent, consulting capabilities and industry expertise to accelerate enterprise-wide AI transformation.
The practice builds on Wipro’s experience of delivering more than 300 AI and data-driven use cases across sectors including banking and financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, manufacturing and energy.
