Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited (WRTL), a renewable energy EPC company and part of the Waaree Group, has received a Letter of Award (LOA) for the turnkey engineering, procurement and construction of a 124 MWp DC solar power project. The project comprises a 124 MWp DC/88 MW AC solar photovoltaic plant along with an associated 132/33 kV Pooling Substation (PSS). The order strengthens WRTL’s utility-scale solar EPC portfolio and expands its presence in India’s growing renewable energy market.
Under the contract, WRTL will undertake the complete engineering, procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the solar PV plant. The scope also covers the associated balance-of-system infrastructure and the development of the pooling substation, including engineering, procurement, civil works, erection, installation, testing and commissioning. The solar generation assets will be developed across multiple project sites. The integrated nature of the contract gives WRTL an opportunity to deploy its capabilities across solar generation, electrical infrastructure and high-voltage power evacuation.
Sunil Rathi, Director, Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited, said the order reflects growing customer confidence in the company’s EPC capabilities and project execution strength. He added that large-scale renewable projects will play an important role in supporting India’s transition towards cleaner energy, while WRTL remains focused on delivering projects with strong execution and quality standards.
The latest award adds to WRTL’s portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects and highlights its ability to execute end-to-end solar EPC assignments. The company is also expanding its capabilities in adjacent infrastructure segments, including transmission and distribution, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and data centre infrastructure.
Waaree Renewable Technologies Limited is a subsidiary of the Waaree Group and operates across solar EPC and renewable energy development. The company undertakes the financing, construction, ownership and operation of solar projects and serves commercial and industrial customers.
Headquartered in Mumbai, WRTL develops renewable energy solutions across multiple geographies, with a focus on long-term investments in the commercial and industrial segments. Its portfolio includes on-site solar installations such as rooftop and ground-mounted projects, as well as off-site solar farms through open-access arrangements.
The company is also strengthening its presence across the broader power infrastructure value chain. Its expansion into transmission and distribution, BESS and data centre-related EPC opportunities is aimed at creating additional growth avenues as demand for reliable and clean power infrastructure increases.
The latest 124 MWp order further supports WRTL’s growth strategy and its focus on scaling its EPC operations across India’s renewable energy sector. With increasing demand for utility-scale solar capacity and integrated power infrastructure, the company is positioned to pursue additional opportunities across solar generation and related energy infrastructure.
