Voltanova, an emerging technology company focused on thermal battery energy storage, has been awarded a grant by Zerodha, a prominent financial services firm in India. The funding comes through the Foundation for Science, Innovation and Development (FSID) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.

This support represents a key step forward for Voltanova as it works to reduce emissions in the industrial sector, which accounts for nearly one-third of global carbon dioxide output.

“The backing from Zerodha and IISc signals strong confidence in our work to deliver reliable, high-temperature clean energy to industry,” said Jaicky Kumar, Co-founder and CEO of Voltanova. “It’s a critical boost as we continue to refine and expand our storage technology.”

“Reducing emissions from industrial processes is a complex challenge,” added Deepak Mishra, Co-founder and COO. “This grant will help us accelerate our development and move closer to full-scale deployment of our thermal energy systems.”

Voltanova’s breakthrough thermal battery is designed to deliver 24/7 green energy to industrial applications, offering a long lifespan, modular design, and dramatically lower costs than existing solutions. With this new funding, Voltanova is poised to scale its solution, helping industries transition away from fossil fuels while boosting energy resilience and sustainability. The future of industrial heat is clean – and Voltanova is leading the way.

Voltanova is an India-based deep-tech startup building thermal battery energy storage systems to decarbonize industrial energy. Its mission is to eliminate up to 30% of global emissions by providing low-cost, sustainable, high-temperature energy for hard-to-abate industries.
